Lahat ng Kabanata ng A Complicated Romance: Kabanata 221 - Kabanata 230

“Are you blaming me? I’m doing this for your own good.” Heather did not think she was wrong. “All you think about is that cheap woman. When will you give me a grandson?!”“Mom, I know you have my best interests in heart but I’m not your puppet. I have my own way of thinking so stop trying to force your ways on me, please?”“Alright, I’ll stop forcing my ways on you but this is not going to end here. Imagine how embarrassed I’d be if the public knew someone attacked me in my own house without reason? I’ll not let Christina off the hook. I’ll make her pay!”“What will you do?” Michael could not think straight. He figured there must be something else behind this. Perhaps his mother provoked Christina first? However, her rushing into their house to attack his mother still upset him nonetheless.Heather was still his mother even if she did something wrong. Did Christina think of him at all when she hit his mother?“Call the police and send her to jail. I will not free her of this!” Hea

Heather must be the person who orchestrated this. She wanted Christina to leave Michael and move her family out of Jade City. That explained why she reacted overly agitated at Christina’s arrival — it was to provoke her further. If anything bad shall happen to Travis, then she would make sure Heather the old witch would pay for it!Travis woke up for a short while before passing out again which put Christina on the edge of her seat. Serena called the next morning. “Sister, I’d like to meet you.”The impatience was evident in Christina’s voice. “For what?”“Something important, of course!”As Christina was not in the mood to entertain, she was about to end the call.“It’s about your child. I’m at the coffee shop near the hospital entrance. It’s up to you to show up or not.” Serena ended the call after that.Upon hearing that this involved Travis, Christina immediately had Francis look after the boy while she left the hospital for the coffee shop.Serena stood up at Christina’s

Christina felt especially upset to see Michael caring for Serena. Three years ago, he ignored her safety and rushed out of the house while carrying the latter in his arms. Nothing had changed three years later. He still showed such gentle consideration for Serena by instinct.Christina clenched her teeth in anger upon remembering that Travis was still hospitalized because of Heather. “Michael, tell Heather I’ll take her unworthy life myself if something bad happens to my boy!”“Christina!” Michael was furious too. “Don’t go over the limit!”He had tolerated it when she barged into his house to attack his mother. Being called unfilial because of that had already upset him, yet she still insulted his mother right now. He could not endure it any longer.“You can demand from me the suffering I caused you but that doesn’t mean you can humiliate my mother without scruple!”“I humiliate her? Hahaha!” Christina suddenly laughed aloud. “Michael, I’ll make you regret. I swear that I’ll make

Christina felt relieved after finding a place to stay, and when she went back, Francis was delighted to hear about the news too. She believed there were still many kind-hearted souls in the world. Life would have been great if she had never encountered disgusting people like Heather and Serena.Travis, who had been sharing a bedroom with Christina, was over the moon upon learning that he was to have a room to himself. “Mommy, when can we move?”She patted his head lovingly. “I’ll take you to see the place tomorrow. We can move in two days later!”“Hooray!”As laughter filled the room, she noticed an incoming phone call from John. Her face fell instantly. “What do you want?”“Christina, I need to talk to you. Let’s meet up.”John dared not show up here for fear of getting into a row with Francis. Therefore, he had to meet up with his daughter elsewhere. She was infuriated at the man after learning that he actually agreed on having Serena as the surrogate. This was good timing.

Colors drained off John’s face as he looked at Christina’s receding figure. Her personality was exactly the same as her mother’s!Frustrated, she was quiet the entire way back. Who knew how John acquired his antique collection? Perhaps through abuse of power or even bribery! She would not have divorce Michael so easily if she cared about materialistic things. What annoyed her most was how easily he was duped by Sophia and Serena. He must be really stupid for failing to see the duo’s wild ambitions! An ignorant and foolish man like him did not deserve to be her father! She was completely disappointed in that man.Noticing that she looked quite low, Francis asked, “Christina, why did John want to meet up?”So she told him about John’s suggestion to move in with him and Francis snorted with his teeth clenched in hatred. Then, she mentioned how John and Sophia gave Serena permission to have a child with Michael three years ago.Prior to this, Francis knew that Michael had cheated
