Evelyn's POV I woke up in Fiona's room, Liam was sleeping on the couch. We snuck in since I am supposed to be dead. How fucked up can one family be? It could have been hours or days since I had showered and lay my head on Fiona's side of the bed. I couldn't wait to see my best friend, my sister. Tears threatened at the corner of my eyes and as soon as one fell, the dam would crack and the hot tears wouldn't stop until there was nothing left. Sitting up with the pink sheet held up to my chest, I cried silently. Liam and I kept each other company, laying low in the compound. Since I was "murdered" by my father he thought it best to keep me hidden. He starting feeding and sleeping regularly, getting himself back in tip-top shape to see his beloved Fiona, while I sat wondering if I was making the right decision. Sconces lined the hallway. Meadow green carpet lined the floor and a mural of a bright sunny day was painted as far as the eye could see. It all smelled new and was a bit overwhelming to my senses.
