SHANTAL's P.O.V  ~~~~     "I am not sure if I was supposed to tell you guys about this. But I remembered the old lady leaving in a hurry this morning."  When I heard Sam saying those words, something inside me was awaken as though a light that has been flicked by a blow. I knew that it was not right for me to feel delighted after hearing that news. But I just could not help it, because it felt to me like even fate was making its way to give me and Alex a chance to work together. I guess love really moves in a mysterious way that even the wisest of men would not be able to fathom its ways. "Are you meaning to say that Alex was the only person who was inside the resto as we speak?" I tried my best to sound nonchalant when I asked Sam that question. At the same time. I heard Jodi asking the other party as well right after me. "Will he be able to accommodate all

Alex was not a bad cook himself. In fact, living an apartment with no one but himself for as long as he could remember left the other party with no other choice but to learn the deed, along with other chores that one has to master if they wanted to live a decent life alone. However, unlike Shantal who not only has a specific liking for culinary but also happened to take a unit related to one, the girl clearly has an edge. It was for that same reason why despite they both used to live alone, Shantal was capable of cooking for many while Alex could not; he only knew how to do a single serving of food, and attempting to cater for a considerable number of customers was definitely out of his option, especially when there was someone else's business that was at stake. Besides, Alex was not confident that the taste would be at their liking, to begin with. That was why, in the end, he relented and allowed Shantal to work in the kitchen. Meanwhile, from how Shantal carri

There were only two options left for Alex to choose from. Either he would brace himself to dealing with angry customers after telling me there was no way that they could get food to eat from their place. At most he might just end up getting eaten alive by this group of hungry people or he would accept the helping hand that Shantal was offering to him together with the assistance of three more heads on top of it; clearly, the latter was a better option compared to the former. However, both choices also led to their own set of risks. If Alex would stick to the first choice, he would be tarnishing the good reputation that Auntie Hersia had painstakingly worked for over the years. In the worse case scenario, he might even end up ruining the overall business. On the other hand, if he would allow Shantal and the others to stay and helped him in the kitchen, it would delay them from going back home. Thus, increasing the risk of their lie getting exposed. Alex was compl

SHANTAL's P.O.V~~~~ I was in the front of the stove, cooking different kind of foods all at the same time. Due to the fact that we were running out of time, I was left with no choice but to multitask. Not that I am not used to, though. But while I was busy cooking, the corner of my lips also could not help but quirked up. I was simply happy by the thought of a having a chance to work with Alex within the same space. It was for this simple reason why I could hardly stop a smile from showing on my face. Not only I know how to cook, I even prided myself to be good at it. Something that should not be surprising. After all, I was known for topping the class when I took culinary course to pass time. I don't need help in cooking, I wanted to prepare every single detail of it all by myself. So when I got to the kitchen, rather than letting Alex do some small tasks like chopping and sort,

Pipping hot food was served to satisfy the customer and it took no time before the group of starving people finished everything that was put in their table. "Try some." "You must have  some." "This one smells good." "Wait! Let me give it a taste first." "Hmmmm. I think this food is my new favorite." "I never tasted something as delicious like this before." "Try this!" "Geez! This sashimi is the best!" These kind of conversation was the topic that has been going on as the people was in the middle of chowing down the dished prepared by Shantal.  It was clear for all eyes to see that they liked the food; basically everything suit their pallete.  Finally it was time for them to leave! "Here you go." Manuel said as he
