Lahat ng Kabanata ng More Than A Man: Kabanata 61 - Kabanata 70

“I think you need to start from the start.” The queen said with her chest pounding. The king could not die, not yet. She still needed to kill the crown prince and make Lance the crown Prince. This was all Cain fault, if he had killed the prince then she would not have felt anything, she would not have done anything other than to sit still and wait for this to happen but it cannot because she will be left with Nothing. The Crown Prince no longer listened to her anymore, not since he came back to realized how many people she had disposed of since his edict. He had refused to listen to her since then or even to be in the same room with her, claiming that the sight of her makes him sick and he was repulsed that she was his mother… that was what he said while he was in the king’s presence but the queen knew what Chandler was referring to. “The resistance are planning on attacking the king today and Curtis shared this

“Did the Prince give you a blow to the head that I somehow did not see?” Stanley asked Penn who rolled her eyes.“I am serious, those who run will be the first to be captured and taken in for questioning. Dispose all your weapons here and let’s go trade the horses for a wagon then rent a night at the inn and after that, we go out and mingle with other in the crowd, maybe grab a wench or two per person and have fun. After all, the reason we are here is because Lord Vallas decided to visit our home and we need to release some steam right?”They looked surprised at the easy way which Penn solved the problem until Stanley clapped his arms together. “Alright, let us start, time currently is of the essence.” He started giving instructions to others about what they should do while Penn started undressing.  “Penn is everything alright?” Stanley asked looking at Penn weirdly. “Of course, it woul

Penn felt something akin to pity as she watched Denzel stumbling back as if him shifting away from Vallas would somehow make the news unreal and change the fact that Curtis was dead. “No, you are lying. Is this some sick joke you and him are playing to make me lose my cool?” Denzel demanded but Penn could see the pale pallor that Denzel skin seem to have taken. “Not everything is about you Denzel, Your son was a traitor, this is about his death which was caused by his actions and decisions not yours.” Vallas stated as Penn paused. “Of course, he was your son.” Penn realized. “Stop referring to him like he is no more.” Denzel snapped at Penn who shifted back. “Now enough of this game you are playing and tell me where my son is.”“He is dead Denzel.” Penn stated calmly, trying to add feelings into delivering the news. “He was a traitor

“Your majesty, I have the perfect idea for what you want to happen.” Cain said two days later in the king's study. The king stared at Cain in surprise, he had not seen Cain this excited since he decided to start punishing the resistance. “I am not sure that I will like this idea.” The king responded. Reflected on Cain's face was the confusion which Cain felt as he did not understand what the reaction of the king. He did not plan for the king to shut him down even before hearing what he had in his mind. “My King, You did not even listen to what I have to say.”“I know.” The king sighed as he dropped the reports he was perusing. “I just hope that it will not waste my time.” “Of course not your majesty sire, I will be very brief with my explanation.” Cain hurried out and when the King gave his nod of approval, Cain started. “You wanted the children o

Penn tried to run but there was no way she could escape the grasp of twenty men, she was caught within a minute. “Let me go.” She struggled against their hold as she was dragged back to Cain who had not moved from his spot when she had tried to run, fully trusting in his men's capability in bringing her back. “My father will hear of this.” “And how will he, when the person who should tell him will be dead?” Cain said as Penn felt a chill in her spine at his words. Cain had just confirmed that he was going to kill her and there was nothing she could do about it at all.  “My father will know that it is you.” Penn bravely said but her voice betrayed her when it came out shaky, displaying her fear for all present to see.  Cain leans to her face. “He is going to need something called proof to be able to do anything. You see, unlike that incident of two years ago, this time I will be smarter so that no one can witness this happening. Let us go.” Cain said
