When I woke up alone, I realized Jax went to his training without me and instantly put me in a bad mood. It was slightly lessened when my old duffle  bag sat at the end of the bed. It looked so dirty and out of place compared to the rest of the room. I almost groaned in pleasure at the feeling of jeans and a sports bra again.  I knocked on the door connecting Meghan’s room, hoping she was there. I didn’t really want to roam around this house, I wanted to go to exactly one place.  “Good morning!” She sang, opening the door excitedly. I grimaced, not ready for that kind of energy just yet. “Want to get some breakfast?”  “Uhh sure. Then can you take me to the library?” I smiled at her.  “I thought Jax was going to give you the tour.” She asked,

“You’re a fool.”  Sabine hissed at the Alpha. His eyes turned a terrifying red and I flinched into Jax, who gripped my hip steadying me. I instinctively reached out to her with my shield, the murderous face of the Alpha had me scared of what he was going to do. She turned to me as if she could feel my magic and furrowed her brow. The Alpha followed her gaze and I matched his, turning my chin up. I felt Jax grip my hips harder, his fingers almost digging into my skin. I clenched my teeth, refusing to look away.  Look away   Aurora warned me, her worried tone shocking me. “I should be able to go to training.” I crossed my arms, staring as Jax changed from the dinner attire we fell asleep in. He sighed, pulling a sleeveless white shirt over his head.  If I wasn’t so annoyed, I would have enjoyed the view more. “I told you I would ask and I will.” “I’m going to visit Sabine then” He hesitated, watching me if I was serious about visiting her and sighed    again. “Alright, I’ll have someone take you.” “Not Aeron.” I stated, letting my arms drop to my sides, clutching the dress from last night.  

“Shit” I breathed out as my back slammed into the ground again. I pushed up as I stared up at Andrus, who had an unimpressed look on his face.He held out his hand and I pushed it away as  I got up and faced Jax again with a scowl. “ Tripping me, making me fall is getting old.”Jax smiled and shrugged. “Do something about it then.”I glared. At first I was shocked that Jax agreed to come help me train but I quickly found out why. He wanted Andrus to show me how to get out of the situation instead of defending myself.  It’s been a few days and we’ve only done some hand to hand techniques, mostly me twisting and turning to get out of holds and stuff.

I quickly wipe my face to clear it from my eyes, pulling my hand back to see it coated in red.
