Dawn's pov:I remained hiding as I felt him stand at a particular spot for a while - doing nothing.I could swear my breath hitched at that moment and I stopped breathing.Oh mercies!I can't believe this is happening to me.I think I'm destined to die this way - in the hands of King Lee..I struggled to take another peep since he wasn't moving. He just stood stiff staring at the bed, probably at sleeping Xenia.I really couldn't explain what began happening at that minute. The room became too quiet and I literally felt King Lee's heartbeat.Yes...it felt so strong and heavy. Like his whole emotions were being released on seeing Xenia lay sick on the bed. I was starting to feel that strong love a man has for his daughter.King Lee can actually care about someone this much??Wow!

Dawn's pov:I blinked rapidly still trying to stomach what the King just demanded.Does he mean it? Does he really want me to tell him a story?Geez! But I'm not a damn storyteller. I'm always occupied with work that I don't sit down for stories.I could barely remember those stories mom would tell me before I went to bed. I was pretty much younger then.Oh...how do I get out of this? How do I make something up??"I'm waiting..." King Lee muttered rolling his eyes."Well..you see, I'm really not in the mood to tell a story, my Lord" I bickered and I heard him scoff."I'm damn bored. I command you to be in the mood of storytelling before I ask you to fill three drums with water and I'll supervise you myself, you brainless rat" He sneered and I glared at him.Who does this king think he is??...I cleared my thro

Dawn's pov:The guard opened the door and I walked in feebly.I never thought I would ever step foot into this room again...not after I slept on the king's bed.The loud noise of the door closing startled me and I snapped outta my thoughts.King Lee was on his bed and the duvet covered the lower part of his body.I approached him and stood beside him. There was a black towel placed on his forehead and his eyes were closed."Good morning, My Lord" I greeted with a bow and his eyes fluttered open."I'm disappointed in you. I'm here getting weaker and sicker and you had no intentions of coming to see how I was doing?" He asked glaring at me.Geez! He talks too much🙄"I'm sorry. I was just tired from standing up through out yesterday" I replied pouting."You could have told me you were tired of standing up" He sneered

Manuel's pov...."The informant has returned and we have his reports with us" My best friend - Castro said walking into the room.I looked up from the book I was reading and fixated my eyes on the paper he was holding. He stretched it out to me and I took it from him pondering on whether the information would be useful.I read through the written content and smiled. It contains the record of things King Lee would be doing this week.Places he would be going to thereby leaving the castle and the time he will be going."The weapons are ready too and the seller gave us discounts since we would be fighting King Lee. That man's enemies are numerous" He stated sitting on a couch.I took up the lit cigarette and inhaled from it. The smoke came out from my nostrils and filled the air."He knows there are too many enemies that would do anything to hav

Dawn's pov👑My heart continued to beat like a party drum and the King still had his back turned on me.The fear and worry alone sent shivers through my endocrine system and could barely stand. To be sincere, I'm tired of this dramas and just want to back home. If only it was easy as I seems.King Lee groaned staring down at his hand. He glanced at it for a while before looking up at me."This new ring is skintight. It'd surely paralyze my finger if I keep wearing it. Help me pull it off, Anna" He mumbled stretching out his hand to me.I ambled to where he was unable to feel my legs. Words can't define how scared I was at the moment.I took his hand and held onto
