Chapter 1
Chapter 1   Entice     Heaven seemed to be grieving on my behalf as I stared at the cold granite tombstone of my father. The wind blew harder, making my black umbrella almost flew away if I wasn't gripping on it a little tighter. The last thing I would want after such hellish week was a ruined mascara and a wet braided hair.   It wasn't the first time I wore my flimsy funeral dress, but unlike when it was my mother's grave I was standing in front of and crying my heart out, I felt nothing but pure emptiness—and immesurable amount of fury

Chapter 2   It was past midnight but I still couldn't stop myself from thinking about what's waiting for me in Wild Oaks. I was thirteen when a transfer student from a small town near Wild Oaks spread creepy stuff about the said place. For a teenager who's scared of the monsters of the night, I refused to listen to most of it.   Well, I was wishing now that I had the courage to know the things the weird girl said before. Now all I knew were the basics and that wasn't helpful at all.   If only I wasn't running out of options...    And if only the weird transferee wasn't my now bestest friend, Jessy, who didn't want to talk about it anymore.   Wild Oaks was a town surrounded by woods which no one dared

Something inside me purred, asking for more of the mysterious man.   This was nothing but a dream, and I was aware of it. But why was everything about the man felt so real, as if a part of me had already gone familiar with the stranger?   I couldn't see his full face because of the wolf mask he was wearing, covering his upper face, and somehow, I didn't feel the need to make him take it off...a

Chapter 4
Chapter 4"Hey, Ice Bear. You okay?" I snapped when Uncle George patted my shoulder to get my attention. I didn't notice how long had I been staring at the fountain, but whe I glanced at Uncle George and took a sharp breath before gazing back at the girls who looked exactly like me and Jessy, I realized there wasn't anyone there but the old man sweeping the ground, wearing his faded blue jumpsuit and white shirt. When he looked at me, I noticed the sudden shift of his expression, as if he'd seen a ghost or something. Horror sketched on his wrinkled face, and as soon as he grabbed his face towel that's sitting by the fountain, he ran back inside the academy as if I scared the hell out of him. I couldn't help but furrow my brows. What was that about? Two minutes in this strange place and I was already feeling that everything was off. The hair on the back of my neck stood to its end and I felt chills all over my body, as if a part of me didn't want to sta
