CHAPTER 117ROMEOI stood in my study room where I took care of the matters regarding my pack. I was talking with Elvina, the queen of the elves. We were discussing the upcoming hunt festival, which was just a few days away."So, Romeo," Elvina said, her voice musical and enchanting, "have you made all the necessary preparations for the hunting festival?"I nodded absentmindedly, my thoughts elsewhere. I had been thinking about my mate, Natalia. Even though I was in the presence of the most beautiful of this realm, my mind was still clouded with Natalia's voice, her face and everything about her. I missed her terribly and couldn't focus on anything else."Yes," I said, trying to hide my distraction. "Everything is in order."Elvina must've noticed my lack of focus, she was always quick to notice the change in someone's mood, and asked, "Is something bothering you, Romeo?"I hesitated for a moment before answering. I didn't want to burden her with my problems, I was never a person to s

CHAPTER 119NATALIAMy heart raced as I stared at the pile of dresses on my bed. I knew that today was the day of the Hunting festival of Romeo's pack, but I couldn't shake the feeling of unease that had settled deep within me. I had left the pack's territory behind and had been staying at Knight's villa, but the weight of the day still burdened me.As I tossed and turned in bed the night before, my head pounding with anxiety, I couldn't help but wonder if I should even go to the Hunting festival. I had left the pack for a reason, and the thought of returning made me uneasy. But something deep inside me stirred a longing to reconnect with the pack and the life I had left behind. But now, as I looked at the pile of dresses on my bed, I realized with a sinking feeling that I had left all of my wearable dresses in Romeo's pack. I regretted not packing more when I had left, and now I had to choose from the few options available to me. My head pounded even more as I contemplated what to wea

CHAPTER 121ROMEOThe Hunting festival was in full swing, and I had been tracking down his prey with all his might. I had been waiting for this event for months, hoping to catch the biggest game of his life. But when I caught sight of Natalia, it was as if all the air had been sucked out of my lungs. It burned my soul to see her there, knowing that I had been searching for her for so long.I was surprised to see her, and my heart pounded at the thought of having another chance to win her heart. But as I approached her, the animal inside me wept. Anger clouded my mind when I saw Natalia clinging to Sebastian Adriatico, a fake mutant werewolf. The way she smiled at him, as if he was the only one she trusted now, made my blood boil. And to make matters worse, I could smell Sebastian's scent on her, which made him feel disgusted. The wolf inside me was clawing to be let free, urging me to destroy Sebastian and everything around me. But I knew that I had to tame him, to convince him that no

CHAPTER 123NATALIAI sat stiffly on the couch as I heard Veronica's voice calling out to me, "NATALIA! MY DEAR!" Veronica's high-pitched tone grated on my nerves, and I couldn't help but roll her eyes in response. I knew that she was coming to greet me, but I wasn't in the mood for pleasantries. The truth had finally been revealed to me and I couldn't forgive Veronica for what she had done. All these years, Veronica had been pretending to be my real mother, keeping her in the dark about my true origins. It was a deception that I could never forget, and I was filled with a sense of deep betrayal. As Veronica approached, Elvina sat beside me, sensing the tension between the two. She knew that Veronica had a reputation for playing dirty tricks, and she didn't want to leave me vulnerable to her machinations. Elvina was the Elven queen, and no one dared to talk to her disrespectfully unless they had a death wish.Veronica couldn't hide her displeasure at seeing Elvina sitting beside me, bu

CHAPTER 125NATALIAFinally, the first night of the hunting festival had come to an end. As I looked around at the chaos and destruction that littered the once-beautiful forest clearing, I couldn't help but feel relieved that it was over. Thanks to the moon goddess, it had ended in a mess just as it had begun. As the night went on, I watched as some pack members were deported back to their assigned pack homes along with their children. It was a sombre sight, knowing that they wouldn't be able to join us for the rest of the festival. I felt a pang of sadness for them, knowing that they had been looking forward to this night just as much as I had.But there were those who had just turned the age of mating, and they were allowed to stay along with their mates to enjoy the after-party. The after-party was not officially part of the hunting festival, but it always seemed to happen that way. It was a time for the younger pack members to let loose and have some fun, to celebrate their newfoun
