Ending the call with Mia, Colton returned his attention to his laptop. He worked for two hours more, made some calls which lasted for about thirty minutes, and then started getting ready to go see Mia.  It wasn't hard locating her home. He got there a couple of minutes past 6 pm. Letting out a sigh, Colton unbuckled his seatbelt. On his ride to Mia's place, he had thought of how he was going to start the conversation when he eventually came face to face with her. He knew for a fact that she was going to freak out. Freaking out wasn't the issue. He was concerned about her not accepting his offer. "You're dating someone else?" Jack asked. Mia didn't reply, not knowing what to say.    "What is his name? Is he good to you?"    After a few seconds of silence, Mia spoke. "Yeah, he's good to me. His name is Colton." She replied, mentally slapping herself.    "When next are you going to see him?" Jack asked.   "What?" Mia asked, not sure as to what her father was driving at.    "When next will you be with Colton so I can talk to him. I'm not in New York, you wouldn't let me come down there either so this is the best I can do. Have a man-to-man conversation with him over the phone."

Putting the roses back on the center table, Mia turned her attention to the suitcase. She got comfortable on her rug and opened the luggage. Mia Edwards came face to face with a complete outfit set. A very gorgeous dress, matching pair of shoes, purse, and jewelry. She took each item and admired them one by one. Both the dress and the shoe were her size. The plan was that Mia was going to babysit Adrienne but when Hailey heard that Colton was going to come over later, Hailey decided to take the little girl with her. She wanted Mia and Colton to have some privacy while they discussed their future.  Colton eventually showed up at 4 pm. He was right on time. Mia opened the door for him, they both exchanged polite greetings, then She ushered him in.  Locking the door behind her, Mia was thinking of how she was going to start the conversation with Colton. Colton spent his morning in the conference room having meetings with representatives of various departments in the company. The meetings ended at noon after which he proceeded to his office.   Stepping in, he came face to face with his mother. She was seated on the couch in the visiting area and had her attention on her phone.    Colton slightly rolled his eyes.
