Chapter 20

“Your majesty, aas you know I am new in this world and to be fair, this world seems to have many peculiar problems compared to where I’m from. But I would gladly help you if I could help you in any way, shape or form.” Voila! “If I can’t do anything, then I will just listen to you talk for hours, until you feel like you are heard.” “Thank you for your kind offer,” I nodded my head. I did not know how to start or where to start from for that matter but regardless, I had found myself talking after a seemingly long pause. “So I am to be bethwored to the beastly King of a far away country.” Her eyes widened. “No offense, Your Majesty, but judging by the tone of your voice, you don't seem too excited about your marriage prospects.” “It is an arrangement that had been done without my knowledge, kind of like a set up.” “So an arranged marriage?” Her shock changed from fascination to pity. “Why though? I’m sorry, Your Majesty but you are sm

Chapter 21

NIA It had been almost a week since I ended up here, I would still like to think that I was abducted but more so going with the flow so that they would feel sorry for me and send me back home. I had so many questions running through my mind, like where I was or why there was no service here but I had decided to seek an answer for all of my problems one by one as apparently, I had nothing but time on my hands when I wasn’t on duty. On the fifth day that I was here, something out of my imagination had happened. It was funny for me to think that it was so unimaginable when I had accidentally gone off the grid with an old lady, only to become one of the handmaidens of the princess of a society that freakishly resembles a cult to be completely hıonest. And still, that day sparked something irrevocable in my life. Up until that day, I had never thought the miracle Princess Viviana would summon me to just have a chat. Like what is even life here?

Chapter 22

The knowledge of the old lady who had brought me here being a witch didn’t even phase me anymore. “The old lady that brought you is actually a witch,” Lady Jasmine once said so casually as if that was the most common knowledge in the world. Maybe it was the most common knowledge in this world. “That is most likely how she brought you here. I do fail to see her reasoning to do so, however.” To be fair, none of us understood why the old lady was doing what she was doing at all times, but the possibility of being teleported into a land where the magic existed excited me. That was not the case at first, however. Lady Jasmine had kept the Princess’ wedding gown in her room, as the princess felt triggered whenever she saw the dress hanging in hers. As I got ready, we summoned the old lady so that she could work on the spell she was supposed to cast on me. Eventually, Lady Jasmine had left us alone for her to enchant me. "So," I started to diffuse the silence, "The

Chapter 23

NIA The Holy Priest came in bright purple as he stood in front of us. He made a speech about how Holy viewed marriages and what they had demanded of the married couples. I did not hear about the Holy often during my time in Princess Viviana’s palace. They were mentioned in places where God would be mentioned back home so I recognized it as some sort of an all-mighty religious figure that people had worshipped. Seeing the officiant pray to him as well, only strengthened my argument. The fire cackles. I sit with my back against a tree, eyes on the flickering flames. After what had seemed like a mass, the officiant, the Holy Priest, had guided us through the vows. I knew I had to hide myself not to raise any suspicion but I was sure that they would recognize that I was not Princess Viviana once they had heard my voice. The vows were nothing out of the ordinary; to love, to cherish and to respect one another. I tried my very best to mimic the mira

Chapter 24

Princess Vivian At the same time that I was terrified to turn my back and reveal the identity of the owner of the hand, I knew I had to walk into the cave if I wanted to make it to the ceremony in time. I made an attempt to shrug the hand on my shoulder off of me and enter the cave, but this time the hand caught me by the wrist and spun me around so that I was looking at them. "Your Majesty, you should not enter that building." Lady Jasmine is a female nymph. Take a moment to reflect on what we'd gone through to save you from the Lycan Beast. Instead of protecting a foreign girl who had been brought here by that evil wench, The Sorceress, your first and foremost concern should be saving yourself." She made some valid arguments, but I would be unable to live with myself if I did not do all in my power to prevent it. "I'm sorry for having to do this. Regardless of whether or whether the monster king accepts my offer, you should know that I am q

Chapter 25

NIA Ever since I had arrived in this world, I had been screwed over and over. How stupid I had to be, really? When would I ever learn not to help these people? “Come on, wife,” he flashed his beautiful teeth. “We shall go back to our castle to celebrate our new beginning before the sun comes back up.” He reached his hand to hold mine and pulled me through the grand doors of the ballroom. Surprisingly to me, the cave opens up to the ballroom that we had our ceremony in, and once we passed through the giant French doors of the ballroom, we had entered the beautiful castle. It was mesmerizing for me, imagine that I would be living in a place like this. It was too surreal. “Aren't you going to stay with me?” I asked hesitantly without knowing if I should be siding to the side to make him some more room in the bed. “Would you want me to stay with you?” He retaliated. “I assumed you would, now that we are married,” I said without lo

Chapter 26

How could a person do such a malicious thing? Like, I couldn't understand how a person would decide to bring a person from another timeline just to manipulate them into marrying someone else that you don't want to marry? What kind of a thought process that you had to go through to come up with a plan like that? Did she just say that she didn't want to sacrifice any of the other poor girls and numerous Kingdoms in this realm because no one was gullible enough so she had decided to send a wicked old lady to recruit a nobody from a timeline that was a drastically different world? Just then I realized that I wasn't going to be able to sleep the whole night. I had simply had too much on my mind. I tried my best not to think, not to worry, but it was to no avail. I felt worried. I felt betrayed. There were so many things that I did not understand, that frankly, I did not want to understand. I just wanted to go back, I just wanted to go back to where I came from. I never wanted to

Chapter 27

I got startled by the loud noise of a flock of women at my doorstep. I could hear them giggling, I could hear them mumbling. I assumed they heard about my arrival, and they were simply gossiping about me. The main reason that I thought that was the case was after the umpteenth giggle-fest, they stopped sharply, a voice clearing sound one can hear through the doors, followed by a loud knock on the door. “Your Majesty, are you awake already? Can we come in?” “Sure,” I shouted from my seat in front of the windows. The best thing about this timeline was how quiet the kingdoms were. Coincidentally, that was also the worst part of this timeline, especially when you are used to the chaos of New York City. They did have, however, the whole galaxy in the sky at night, showing their Beauty even to the naked eye. You could barely see any stars from all the city lights in New York City. It truly did fascinate me, the Stark difference between home and here. Despite having

Chapter 28

The silence was killing me and I couldn't handle hearing only my chewing sounds anymore. “So the King told me that there were rules of this castle,” I started in an attempt to diffuse the awkward silence. “He had informed me that someone would come and teach me the rules and the etiquette some time today.” “Oh, we can do that,” the young one jumped enthusiastically. “If you wish us to help you with those topics, of course.” “I would honestly prefer that to meeting with someone new. I am not in my top shape today.” “But your majesty, you would eventually need to get acquainted with the staff here. Everyone was so excited to have a lady in the house.” “So the rules,” I reminded them as I stuffed another giant piece of toast in my mouth. At least the food here tasted a lot better than Princess Viviana’s palace. “Right,” the older woman cleared her throat. “The most important thing that you should know, Your Majesty, is that this house is extr

Chapter 29

From the very first morning that I woke up, I had a strong sense that I was going to like my new role as a princess. Breakfasts that were well-balanced, followed by a wonderful and warm bath, only to be pampered and dressed by my ladies, felt like a dream come true. I dressed in a white and blue gown that I thought looked the most appropriate for my style, despite the fact that both of my handmaidens were opposed to it. They said that the gown, to quote them, "made me appear as if I were a handmaiden or a servant." In my own timeline, I couldn't have cared less because I was content to live in jeans and hoodies. However, it appears that the poof of your skirt indicated your social hierarchy, with the poofier the skirt denoting a better social position. As the monarch, it was assumed that I would have the largest tooth in the land. All of my down had to be created from high-end fabrics, and it had to be embellished with beads and all of the precious stones that this planet ha
