I wake up with my eyes a little heavy; I can feel it swells when I touch it with my fingertips. My sight lands on the white ceiling again; it's the only way I find peace, looking at the unknown and doing nothing. My back hurts a little when I get up, and I feel lazy. It must be a lack of sleep; if I can recall correctly, at 2 in the morning, I was still as awake as an owl. "Angel?" Mom called out my name. She must be preparing for work at this time. It's 7 in the morning when I glance at the wall clock. I'm not answering her and will come out when she's out for work. It's Saturday anyway. "Angel, your breakfast is ready; help yourself. I don't have the strength to face mom after what I learned yesterday. All those things have not yet sunk in my system; everything happens so fast. My heart still aches after mom broke my trust, but the doubt that there must be something she's hiding is growing more and more. Mom is not the kind who hides things from me. Lea could be right; there must be something I need to know. However, it's kind of hard to comprehend. Dominic opens my door the moment I stand at the side of the car. "Good morning, Angel." Dominic greeted with a grin on his face. He could lighten up a gloomy morning with his pleasant smile. "Thank you, Dominic," I answered as I stepped inside the car. "You're too early today; any projects you need to finish in school?" 

The junior-senior basketball game ends while I'm all eyes on Maddox having butterflies in my stomach. I do not doubt that they will win as I keep my trust in the junior team intact. The whole team is so happy, tapping shoulders to every opponent, showing sportsmanship. Maddox comes close to me and kisses me on the forehead; I’m startled. Samantha and Luke have their eyes on us as well. I have never felt embarrassed in my life. I feel like the heat is rushing on my face as I stand frozen next to Maddox. My hands are tightly gripping on his jersey as I don't know what to say or do. "Angel, thank you. Lea calls me as she has promised. I pick up her call immediately as I sit in the lobby to prepare for a long talk with my best friend. As assured, I let her know immediately when Maddox and I become a couple. I texted her on our way home from school. I'm sure Lea will ask as many questions as she can, so I can't go home to avoid mom hearing our conversation. "Hello, have you been busy?" "Yeah, I just had to finish all my projects so that we could talk continuously.
