“How’s your family doing?”Porter asked Janine as they got down from the plane. He helped her with her tons of luggage and waited for a cab.Janine looked at him. “They’re doing fine.” She replied. “They don’t actually know that I am coming home today.” She added.Porter gave her a look. “Then it’s going to be a double surprise because I am coming with you and I’m a stranger.” He spoke.Janine smiled. She knows how nervous Porter is right now. He’s been asking about her family since they were in the plane. Is her father strict and authoritative? Is her mother meticulous?Would they kick him out of the house because they don’t want him for their one and only daughter? He didn’t know. And it’s freaking him out.He knows that even if he introduced himself as a friend, they would still suspect something about him and their d

Days gone by and Porter and Janine had been closer than ever. And of course, Porter got closer to Janine’s family, an advantage that he holds now against Johann who was always away. Damn. Johann Kim was always away. He is always busy running down some business. But now, it was back to basic, back to normal because holidays are over and it just means one thing: back to work.“Jonas, follow me to the office now.” Porter ordered at the flustered employee. It was always that way. Porter would call one and that certain person would get flustered upon knowing that Porter’s attention is on him or her. It doesn’t matter if you’re a guy or a girl, if Porter calls you, you would get nervous.Janine watched Porter as he walked to his office followed by Jonas who’s looking nervous more than ever. Since she spent the holidays with him, she got the chance to know him better and yes, she wasn’t disappointed. In fact, she actually

Everything wasn’t going the way Janine wanted it to be.Porter is too close to her and she knows that he got his eyes on her no matter what she does. She couldn’t concentrate well. It was as if he was guarding her. He was watching if she would do something ridiculous tonight.Johann held her hand under the table making her jump slightly from her seat and look at him. “I’m just going to the rest room.” He told her as he looked at everyone at the table. “You’d be okay here.” He smiled as he planted a kiss on her forehead.Janine didn’t want him to go but then she didn’t have any choice. She couldn’t come with him, right? She smiled and watched Johann walk to the way of the comfort room.Porter’s and Johann’s parents were laughing heartily while Porter and Janine were looking really awkward.Janine almost jumped out of her seat when she felt her phone vibrate.

“What would your parents think of me? Of us?” Janine asked Porter as they were watching movies on the living room of his condominium unit. She loves Porter so much and she knows that it would be hard for them to be approved by their parents. Her parents know that she’s with Johann. And Johann is Porter’s cousin. What would they think of her? She’s worried of everything others would think of her, of Porter.Porter looked at her with a raised brow. “They don’t matter at all, Janine. I don’t like them meddling with my personal life anyway.” He replied as he planted a kiss on her ear. “If they won’t approve us, then we won’t insist. I can fund you and our children just fine.” He smiled as he wrapped his arm around her, pulling her closer to him.Janine gulped at how advanced Porter is already thinking. He’s already thinking of building a family with her. That’s one thing. He&rs

Porter and Janine stared at each other. Janine felt like her whole world is going down the drain the moment she heard what Serge said. It’s the end. It’s going to end now. That was all she could think of. Although she knows that Porter isn’t going to raise the white flag, she’s still so scared that she’d lose him now. Hell, she couldn’t lose him now or she’s going to die.Porter laced his fingers with hers and stood up. “Come on. Let’s face them.” He told her calmly. There was no trace of anxiety in his voice.Janine stared at him. “Porter, what if they disapprove our relationship?” It was not a new question and L has answered and assured her a thousand times that she’ll always be his choice. There’s no one else.Porter sighed and faced her, cupping her cheeks. “Listen, Janine. I’m not going to repeat this ever again.” He began. “I know you&r
