The psychopathic lord leaned back in his chair, lighting a cigarette as fought to calm his rising temper. The girl had infuriated him when she ran, managing to wilfully escape a whole army of trained men; adept in battle. And yet, she avoided them; managing to make it to a watchtower. The little princess had warned the whole dimension of Darkous’ presence, giving Atlas and her brothers a chance to escape; to flee like cowards. He growled lightly when he heard her move in the cage, once again forcing his mood to soften as he turned to look at her; his mechanical white eyes lifeless.  Yelping, the young princess jumped back; bracing herself in the corner of the cage as he struck again, throwing her sideways. He panted, cracking his aching fingers as he glared through the bars at his niece; the suspended cage rocking back and forth. The princess slowly moved onto her knees, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ears as she stared back at him; trembling in terror.“Just deal with the images, they aren’t that bad.” The psychopathic lord muttered as he continued to pace around the metal contraption.“I can’t ... Please don’t make me sleep ...” She sobbed, wiping her tears away with shaky hands; her voice breaking as she continued. “It's all I can see when I close my eyes ... I don’t know how to deal with them ...”“It’s easy; you just learn how to forget.” He shrugged, cracking his neck before he continued to speak, his tone rough and threatening.

The lord of hell snarled lightly, storming towards her as she shuffled across the floor. He grabbed the little girl by the waist, lifting her from the ground as she kicked and screamed; slamming her elbows into his stomach. The demon within him stirred towards the surface, growling in fury. How dare the girl fight back, hit him. The psychopathic lord had intended on causing her the least amount of pain possible, while still causing her to pass out. Only now, he wanted to make her suffer; wail in pure and undivided agony.“You want to suffer? Is that it? Instead of having help?” Darkous questioned harshly, smashing her small frame into the ground.“No! Please just stop!” The immortal girl yelled, crashing onto her stomach as she plummeted into the rough black carpet; blinking back tears.“I am trying to fucking help you!” The lord of hell screamed in anger, viciously gripping the girl’s ankle.Darkous lifted his ni

Like our ...”The lord of hell nodded again, walking towards his brother; his pace slow. “Indeed, brother. Just like our mother.” He paused, watching as the little princess slept; her small frame curled into a ball on her side. “Her eyes are also a deep violet, just like hers.”“Fascinating ...” Darkous’ brother uttered, his tone coated with curiosity and amazement as he continued to gaze at the young immortal.“Yes ... Very fascinating. But how has this happened? Is it even scientifically possible?” The psychopathic lord questioned, glancing between his brother and the girl.Hades nodded, rubbing his hand along the

Chapter 44
The princess listened carefully to what they were saying, her fear preventing her from moving; from informing the dark lord that she had woken. She remembered him throwing her across the living room and slamming into the cage, but then everything went blank; a dull throbbing remaining in the back of her head. Suspecting what had happened, Elika chose to lie silently in the metal contraption; not wanting to draw any unwanted attention towards her. Darkous was speaking to another man about her, his older brother; the one the ancient texts had told her about. Hades sat on one of the couches, smoking just as the dark lord did; his eyes a deep black. She moved slightly when her side began to ache, curling into a tighter ball as she sighed deeply; keeping up her pretence of being asleep. Her mind racing with questions, why did Hades want to take her to his lab? What did he want from her? Would the dark lord send her to the feral immortal because she was unable to sleep? Because she fought

“I doubt she wishes to fight, brother. She’s never wanted to fight in our war.” Hades piped up, seeming to jump to her defence.“This I do understand, brother. However, she needs to learn about self-defence and obedience to the correct people.” The dark lord snapped slightly, quickly rising to his feet. Elika took a step back when he turned to look at her with lifeless eyes, he growled lightly; storming towards her as he continued. “You will fight for me Elika, whether you are willing or not. You will fight for a just cause.”“I ... I don’t want to hurt anyone ... Kill anyone ...” The princess whispered, her violet eyes with fear as he stopped only inches away from her; glaring down at her trembling frame.“But you did kill someone.” Darkous smiled, watching as Elika shook with terror. The princess thought to the wolf in the woods when she had r

Chapter 46
Elika’s violet eyes shifted between her uncles, her mind racing; how did Darkous know so much about her mother? Things that the princess and her brothers had never been told, never even hears stories of. She watched silently as the dark lord slowly rose back to his feet, once against towering over her small frame; his mechanical white eyes locked onto her. She did not believe that her mother was a coward, but that she ran from battles as a strategy; using her abilities to heal Elika’s brothers and father when they were injured. If her mother died in battle, their would be no one to deal the wounded. But none of that mattered anymore as the dark lord had killed her brutally and their was no coming back for her mother now. “I do know a lot yes, but I will not reveal how I know so much.” Darkous muttered, a small smile appearing on the corners of his face. Hades bobbed his head as he turned his attention towards Elika, his raven black eyes locked onto her. “So, how has

Dorian tugged her towards a second portal, one designed to take them back to him mansion in the swamps, back to the dark and old house where the stench of blood lingered in the air. Elika followed him obediently, holding her breath as they slugged carelessly into the eerie dark transporter, the distinct feeling of falling surrounding her within seconds. She coughed, squinting as they passed through the other side, still unable to get the hang of travelling in such a brutal and frightening manner; the darkness sending vile shockwaves through her small frame. The animalistic being dragged her towards the kitchen, stalking through the rotted halls as he shook the water from his hair.
