31. Marriage
Lauren's p.o.v I was in shock over what Paula had told me and the rest of the ladies. But it made sense, king Adrean wanted her at all cost and he was willing to be selfish. But dragging her was out of option. It was even worse because it could have ruined Paula. I sighed then stood up from the bed and walked to the balcony. I had a lot of thoughts going through my mind. The rest of the ladies were with Paula in the library while I chose to have a few minutes to myself.  Was I suppose to write to the king over her achieved happiness and success or let it be. One way or another the king had to know about her, if a year was to go by without him knowing it would be a bad sign and he would come here to see if she really was doing well. Well no matter how I looked at it, Henry was now our king and this now was our homeland. "Home sweet home," I muttered under my breath.&n

32. Acceptance
Lauren's p.o.v I was very nervous. I couldn't eat much or sleep peacefully for the past five days. It was hard to believe that I was going to get married in the next coming days. Paula was so happy that she and jack paid no attention to my words as they worked together in preparation for the coming day. Henry was very kind to Paula, even in public he made sure to hold her hand or kiss her for everyone to see. Many women were jealous of the relationship but they couldn't do anything about it. "It's just a wedding you know?" Cleo said calmly. I turned on my seat and faced her with a glare. "Just a wedding?. Just a wedding she says. Don't you know that it's a commitment of a lifetime?" I asked on top of my voice. "A commitment that all women would die for." Janet fired back. I faced her furiously then took in a deep brea

33. Sad truth
Paula's P.o.v I stood next to Henry trying so hard not to cry as Jack and Lauren were pronounced husband and wife. She looked very happy and her dress was of the finest material with sparkles of gold. My other ladies were right beside her cheering her up.  Henry slowly moved his hand and linked it with mine. I looked at him as he glanced at me with a smile then leaned in and kissed my head slightly. Lauren held Jack's hand and walked with him out of the chapel as we followed behind. My ladies knew what to do. They were to quickly go ahead in the throne room and see to it that the servants were ready with the wine and food. "Paula are you...." Henry cut his words short when the trumpets sounded. I held in my breath when a carriage approached us. A man who was riding his horse ahead quickly got

34. Defying fate
Henry's p.o.v Yes, I did it again. I made her hate me and I felt so bad. I wanted to crawl on my knees and beg for her forgiveness. But she was already out of my sight. I sat all alone in the royal garden trying to hold back my tears. I was very stupid and cruel towards her. And I didn't deserve her at all. She was the most faithful woman I had ever met. She had a temper but yet so kind and gentle with those around her. Her carrying my child could have been the best thing ever happening to us. Just not at that moment.  I was way out of my mind and hurting her was never my true intention. I stood up and took in a deep breath then released it.  I could see what was right ahead of me. She was going to leave me. And now that her father was here. She wasn't going to hesitate or hold back.

35. Leave her to us
Paula's p.o.v I walked into the hall then halted my movements and turned to face Henry who was right behind me trialing. "Henry you seriously have to stop." I said loudly when deep down I was happy that he was right behind me. "I'm sorry, but I just can't leave you alone." He whispered softly then moved closer and pressed his hand on my stomach.  The serious expression I had worked hard to put on instantly disappeared. It was soon replaced by a wide smile. I was so upset with him yesterday. But the news changed everything. I was over the moon with happiness that all the hate and anger I felt immediately vanished. As he went down on his knees and asked me to stay. My heart fluttered and I found myself holding him back. I wanted to stay by his side no matter what. I wanted us to welcome our child together. But above all, I promised myself to fight for the family I was about to

36. Change of character
Bridget's p.o.v There was never a day we didn't take care of Paula. Ever since she was young, there were a lot of men and women who talked badly behind her back. Some even dared to laugh at her. She was always the center of attention even though she stayed far away from the people. Lauren was always careful to never let her know of how we took care of such gossip. At times we took matters into our own hands and sometimes we found a way around it. For years we worked hard and made sure Paula never came across such negative words. But then she got married and things became difficult. We couldn't do much or defend her as we did in our kingdom, because we too were only strangers in this kingdom. We looked at the huge house that was ahead of us then the two guards at the entrance. "Suggestions?"

37. Forgiveness
Paula's p.o.v I was in shock over what Bridget had told me. It made no sense no matter how much I thought about it. How could one easily give up after going through so much for someone? Because of that, I couldn't even sleep much and Henry was upset with me. I sighed softly while I faced the balcony. "Talk to me," Henry said as he approached me and sat next to me on the couch. "Are you not upset with me anymore?" I asked sadly. He smiled then held my hand in his. "I'm not upset with you in that way. I just don't like the idea of you staying up the whole night as if it's punishment. Paula, you are no longer alone, you are carrying our child. So before you decide to not eat or keep awake, please do think of that." He said seriously. I swallowed hard and nodded. I didn't know if I had to tell Henry t

38. Epilogue
Paula's p.o.v A few months went by swiftly and there were no more troubles or arguments between Henry and me. We were so much in love and stronger than ever. I was handling my duties flawlessly despite being pregnant and near to the due date. My father, his highness usually came to pay us a visit almost every week. He was so excited about his soon to be born grandchild. He spent most of his time helping out Henry and sharing his views on how to run the kingdoms. Lauren was always by my side giving me a hand whenever I needed it. And for that, I was really grateful and happy. "What are you doing?" Henry asked softly behind me. I glanced at him and smiled widely while showing him the little blanket I was knitting. "I wanted to make something for the baby in my free time." I answered proudly. He moved closer and sat next to me on the couch with a wide smile.

( ADREANs side story) 1. My fault
Valarie's p.o.v  "Son," I whispered in fear.  He stood furiously facing the window.   He didn't have to say a word for me to know how he was feeling. At this rate, he was more threatening than usual. But there was still hope of calming him down.    "I really was never meant to love anyone. No one was ever going to love me anyway." He muttered under his breath for the fourth time.   "That's not true and you know that," I whispered softly.  He turned and stared at me with a cold, murderous expression. The warmth and love that was usually filled in his eyes when Paula was around was no longer present. In front of me was the Adrean most people in our kingdom feared and avoided.  And the rumor that spread was well know

2. Wrong move
Grace's p.o.v  "Walk straight you slut." The huge man beside me yelled loudly and tightened his grip on my wrist.   I held in my voice as tears rolled on my cheeks.   "Hey, be a bit gentle with her, you know she's a virgin right?. And it's rare for us to kidnap one. On top of that, she looks like royalty. She will sell a lot more than we have ever made so far, that's why don't do anything stupid." The slightly built blond guy who was in front of me said seriously.   Unlike the man pulling my hand roughly, he seemed a bit quiet and talked less.  I looked around and saw that the place we were at was a marketplace. A few houses were there and a lot of people were passing, but they all couldn't look at me.
