“Stockholm Syndrome? Um.. I am not familiar..” Abby shakes her head, confused. “I'm sorry but I don't think that I know what that it.” “Well, Miss Kensington, Stockholm Syndrome is a psychological condition in which the victim of a kidnapping or other related crime such as that identifies with and even empathize with their captor or abuser, going so far as to agree with or share their goals.” The detective tells her. “It is very rare but we do see it. Especially if you have a good looking guy as the kidnapper and a young, overly sheltered girl experiencing her first taste of freedom.”
