10. The First Day
A royal carriage with a crest of three different heads landed in the courtyard of Leon’s castle. It looked spectacular. In front of Felen, a gigantic horse with black wings spread beautifully pulled the carriage. The horse’s eyes were white and looked lifeless. The carriage looked wonderful when it was flying in the sky. A truly amazing attraction for a human like her. It was like seeing a fairy tale come true. In the human world, such a thing would be impossible for her to see. The most surprising thing was there was no coachman. “Greetings, Your Majesty.” A deep, low-pitched voice came out from the black horse. It bowed his head in showing courtesy like royalty. It shocked Felen. She didn’t expect it could talk, even had a masculine voice. Another thing that made her surprised was the sudden appearance of Leon with a dark aura emitted from his body. “Long time no see, Zeron.” Those relaxed words with a firm ton

11. Sly Demon
Felen wore a differentt attire from the other students’. It made her stand out. The white coat she was in stark contrast to the black uniform of the Academy of אשמדאי‎ (Ashmedai) students. She was the centre of attention. Not just because of her attire, but because the teacher had mentioned Leon’s name. Lucifer, or Leon, is the king of the demons and she was the bride chosen by him. That was why they were curious for different reasons. One of them was a golden-haired female demon who was looking at Felen. Her eyes didn’t move the slightest bit as she watched her. “You’d better not annoy her, Miss Litiana.” The warning came from the black-haired man, who was leaning against the large window beside Litiana. His right eye is brown and his left eye is green with a cylindrical shape. It looked unique and scary at the same time. His expression seemed fed up when he realised Litiana would make a ‘small’ commotio

12. The Forest of Wonders
The Forest of Wonders is the largest and widest forest in the demon world. This forest differs from other forests in the demon world. Apart from its immense size, no one knows what kind of life and creatures live there. Only a handful of demons with high status and power know the secret behind the Forest of Wonders. This forest is very dangerous. Especially for humans, other than demons, and low-powered demons. The Forbidden Forest is an appropriate nickname for it because every creature that enters the Forest of Wonders always sees different things. That makes it dangerous. The forest always misleads people. Just like the demon which misleads humans. The Forest of Wonders only brings despair. It was the brief explanation written in a book by the previous demon elders. The book was in the demon library of the city's heart, and all the students of the Academy of אשמדאי‎ (Ashmedai) knew about it. So, no one dared to enter the fore

13. Ancient Magical Beast
When Leon came back to his castle, he rushed to Felen’s room through the balcony. The first thing that caught his attention was Felen, who was relaxing on the sofa. She looked normal in a plain white nightgown, but somehow in his eyes, she was stunning. “What are you doing there?” Felen’s soft voice pulled Leon out of his fantasy. He adjusted himself so as not to look like a foul. It would be a shame if she found out that he caught off guard because of her. “You should have greeted me with a warm hug or at least a light kiss,” he said as he jumped off the guardrail. “Why should I welcome someone trespassing into my room?” Her arms crossed. “...But, I’m not a person?” His casual answer, wrapped in a questioning tone, created wrinkles on her forehead. He was not in the category of ‘people,’ but another dimensional being. She had lost the words she wanted to say to him when she realise that. “Whatever.” She

14. Human's Foolishness
The air in Devil Reign was getting colder and colder. The sky turned grey with dark clouds slowly devouring the sky. However, the falling snow filled every corner of the city, looked contrast and overlap. White and black were trying to merge, like a monochrome painting. Felen watched all the changes from the balcony. The beautiful yet terrifying sight made her amazed. The gust of wind that hit her exposed skin was hot, painful, and piercing. It as if the particles carried by the wind were tiny fiery daggers. She opened her palm to feel the snow. As it touched hers, she flinched in surprise. The snow made her skin blister. “I’m wondering, are you a masochist, Felenia?” The soft and low-pitched voice startled her. When she turned around, Leon was sitting on the dark blue sofa. His crossed legs made him look relaxed, but gave off an impression as a ruler. “ ... What do you mean?” It was the first time she heard the word of

15. Circus Animal
The night is still long as the madness of the humans continues. However, Felen, who could not witness all that, begged Leon to let her out of that cursed place. “Leon, I want to get out of here.” Her grip on his arm tightened as the sighs, groans, and growls of the humans grew louder. “Please...” She gave up, lowering her ego so Leon would let her go. “Very well.” She was lucky because this time he didn’t refuse it. He helped her by supporting her waist. Her nauseous made her vision blurry and so did her focus. “The human body is indeed weak,” he said with pity. She did not respond to his blatant ridicule. She was already struggling enough to support his own body. Responding to him only drained her energy even more. “Do you want me to help you?” She ignored him and continued walking towards the door that seemed awfully far away. “Are you sure you don’t want me to carry you up?” The

16. The Seed of Hatred
The night sky had taken over by a shining sun. Yet Felen’s journey in the human world — her hometown, still continuing. After a melodrama due to witnessing an incident that became a traumatic experience, Leon brought her to a different place. However, unlike before, where he used invisible magic so other humans wouldn’t notice their presence, this time he and Felen blended with them. They were like a couple on a date, holding hands together. She just followed him without saying much. She was still in a state of confusion and shock. Her mind wandered elsewhere. She didn’t even realise she almost hit a street lamp pole in front. People passing by made her head dizzy. The bright and warm sunlight against her skin, the happy sound of a child running in a small alley, a vehicle driving down the street, the shops lined up, the sound of birds chirping, and a cat meowing — it all seemed unreal to her. She felt like she was in a long dream.

17. The Beginning
The greatest loss of human beings is when they are being abandoned or betrayed. *** “So what do you want to do, Milady?” Leon asked. He stood beside Felen, waiting for the decision his future bride would make. Right now, they were in a tall building that made it easy to see the surrounding area. Felen, who was spying Barend and his new family from quite a distance away, ignored his question. Her mind was in deep thought after seeing Abelard, who had grown up. He looked exactly alike to young Barend. They are like two peas in a pond. She was sure that no one would doubt him as Barend’s son, even if others knew he was from the slums. Something crossed her mind. She glanced at Leon. She assumed he knew what happened to her family. “What’s wrong? Do you want to ask something?” As if he had expected that she would ask something, he replied, with a teasing grin. She scoffed in disbelief. However, right

18. Deadly Poison
The Pandora’s box is opening. Between hope, despair, and awareness — which will come forth and welcome Felen later? *** Felen stepped into Leister’s manor with imperfect plans. She still wore an innocent-looking smile, hoping it would reduce Barend’s suspicion. She ignored the piercing gaze from Abelard. Not even once she glanced at him. She hated him for snatching her position, so she didn’t want to get involved with him anymore. Her goal is to avenge Aghnya on Barend. “You’d better change your clothes first, then come have dinner with us,” Barend said to her. “The maid will help you with all your needs.” A maid approached Felen. She bowed respectfully, then escorted her upstairs. The maid leads her to her childhood room before moving to the west building. When the large doors opened wide, every corner of the room was clearly visible. The whole interior had changed from what she remembered. No more child

19. See You Later
What does a family mean? *** ‘Deadly poison?’ The corners of Felen’s lips rose, showing a wide grin that could make others shiver with horror. A second later, her expression distorted. Regardless of Leon’s true intentions, she thanked him for telling her that information or else it would lead to her death. She turned around and grabbed Abelard’s hand. Surprise flashed in his clear green eyes, seeing Felen’s demeanour changed 180 degrees, as if their conversation earlier had never happened. It confused him, yet he got along with her plans. “Let’s go together, Abelard,” she said in a cheerful voice. Barend noticed Felen and Abelard. He greeted them with a fake smile. She realised it, yet she smirked with a stony gaze as an intimidating aura emitted from her. She is not naïve. Her instincts had sensed that Barend plotted something behind the ‘loving father’ attitude he showed. “Papa.” Felen t
