Leilani“Thank you for taking me to go see Chase today. I had not even realized how much I missed him until I got to see him again. That was really thoughtful.” I said quietly, looking up at Neil. He was standing shirtless and handsome by the Jacuzzi tub, hanging a fluffy white robe back on a hook.I was in the Jacuzzi, naked and relaxed, with my head leaned back against the edge of the large tub as I savored the feel of the warm water rippling all over my body up to my neck.Neil turned to look down at me, his blue eyes twinkling. “I figured seeing Chase would be therapeutic for you, babe. Besides, Chase proved himself to be such a brave boy, I’m glad he’s recovering rapidly at the clinic.” I nodded, looking away from Neil and back at the softly steaming water. It really was therapeutic for me.Chase was recovering well from his injuries, although his broken leg was still in a cast, and he definitely did not like staying

LeilaniMom softly let go of my hand and grabbed her juice instead. “And that’s why I’m not bothered about your sister’s inability to last in a relationship. It’s because the men she has been with are not making her happy. When she finds the good man, I know I’ll be planning another wedding!”I let out a soft laugh, watching mom sip on her drink. “Don’t let Ashley hear you say that.”Mom waved a hand dismissively, laughing as she placed her glass down. “Speaking of weddings, Neil spoke to me about not being sure if you could go through with the wedding, since it seems like you are still quite emotionally shaken.” She gave me a concerned look. “Would you like to shift the wedding forward?”I blinked. After listening to Mom speak, I had come to the conclusion that I could never call off my wedding for a man that did not even give two shits about my feelings. Adonis had been hurting

LeilaniA goddamn mansion! My lips dropped open, eyes widening in disbelief. What in the world— “N-Neil? What is going on?” I glanced over in his direction to see him walking around the car to come stand beside me, a small smile on his face in the dark of the night. When he got close enough, he took my hand in his bigger one, with his eyes locked in mine, and raised it up to his chest. He brought my hand to rest against his broad, firm chest right over his beating heart and I could feel the warmth of the body under my palm through the wool of his hoodie. “Leila, this is going to be our new home. I have been secretly trying to get the most beautiful house I could get my hands on for a while now, with the help of your sister, of course. And when I saw this house, I knew immediately that it was the perfect wedding surprise.”I was speechless. I just stared at him, my eyes searching his with disbelief, shock and utter awe. So this was th

LeilaniWith all the wedding preparations back in full swing now that it was confirmed that I was as back to my usual self, the days flew by so fast, filled with stolen moments with Neil before I got dragged away by wedding specialists and Ashley. The excitement was so palpable I could almost taste it, and the wedding bells were ringing louder than ever. This is it.I am really getting married. And the wedding was just five days away.Travel arrangements had already been set and made for my destination wedding which was happening in Dubai, with a whole five hundred guests flying out for the wedding too. After that came my honey moon with Neil in Bora Bora, on the one of the most luxurious, romantic and exotic beaches of the island. It was all planned out. It was all so exciting. Jesus. I would be lying if I said all of this was not so fucking unpleasant for me. He was happy, happier than I have ever seen him from all the years growing up together and shit. He believed he was the luckiest man in the world… but he was not. Hell no. His bride did not even love him, she cheated on him multiple times with his own brother and groomsman -me- and she was ready to call off the wedding just a week ago when she claimed to be in love with me.Which was a claim that I strongly believe was just triggered by confusion, unbalanced emotions and lust. I have seen it in a lot of women who thought they loved me. They really didn’t. And Leilani is one of them.Although, this time, it was really difficult to keep her out of my fucking mind when all I could think of was that day in that fucking gym when she told me she was in love with me through tears in those pretty honey eyes and in a small, tempting yellow dress. God. Fuck. But I was not going to fuckin
