Chapter 12: The Curse and the Key UP UNTIL now, Luna is still having a hard time to believe that the grandmother she knew wasn't a grandmother at all, but a beautiful woman who seemed to be like her age.  Now that her memories are coming altogether, the original look of her old grandmother is starting to look kind of familiar. If she wasn't mistaken, she saw it first the last time she went home? In a blink, her name also changed. However, she liked it better. Crostelia was too long and it sounded too girly for her now. Moving on, a man covered in black?  She tried recalling her memory a lot of times but only one person popped out every time she fo

Chapter 14: Who Else Aside from Me? PANTING, Luna let go of him first because of the sole reason that she cannot breathe anymore. While on the other hand, Konrad seemed like he wanted more because of the way his lips quickly followed her movement. However, she immediately dodged that and made him kiss only her left cheek. Then, he looked at her as if he was still in a trance while his cheeks were slightly painted red.  Because of the look he was giving as if a predator to its prey, Luna's ears immediately turned red.  When realization hit him, his whole body turned jelly that made him hide his face on the left side of her neck. Was that really Cro

Chapter 16: Time to Ripe SIX MONTHS easily passed by like a whirlwind in Verendus, it is now the thirteenth of November—her birthday! Yet still, she saw no signs of him—as if he never existed at all. As if he was just an illusion made by her wide imagination. It was her birthday but instead of celebrating, she is currently inside her room, sulking and crestfallen because of the blues she felt caused by the guy who confessed to her and suddenly disappeared. Her time flew easily while she was having a hell-like physical training with her aunt and thankfully, only a week was left until she would be able to finish it all. Since today was her today, she was free from tiredness caused by her training. Although they didn't totally celebrate it.  They were having a break today since she had improved so fast and almost didn't need Shelaine's teaching anymore. A few more d

Chapter 18: Contracting a Beast    GUARDIAN beast, a beast in any level that got tamed and entered a blood contract with its master.   Spirit beast, the lowest and weakest level of a guardian beast that anyone could try taking and succeed. Usually, their kinds were being used by hunters or mercenaries to practice on.    Sacred beast, the stronger version of a spirit beast. If a normal person wanted to tame one, he would have a little hard time but if he was a little stronger, he'd probably succeed.   Divine beast, a rare type of a beast that is hard to tame by a normal person. Their kinds were ferocious and stronger than the spirit beast and sacred beast but once tamed, they would only liste

Chapter 20: Shiro Found a Dying Body   THE young lady flinched and jumped on her place after hearing a voice coming from the crystal. After the greeting, the half body of the man she had not seen for a long time was formed in the air while it is still connected to the object. He smiled sweetly at her as if he had not done anything... Wait. He didn't really do anything. He didn't show up—even just his silhouette after a lot of months, so it’s considered not doing anything, right?   Wait… What was it to Luna anyway? Why does she feel so affected now when she couldn’t even respond to him before?   "Is the time I've given you enough?" the man asked next.   The scene that the crystal is showing was apparently not a live call from Konrad, it was just a message that the man recorded before and sent to her as he didn’t stop talking after greeting her and their eyes didn’t meet like before where his looks wer
