Episode 21 Mishka meets Vera
~ MISHKA ~ I was in a deep sleep when I heard someone knocking at my door. Rubbing my eyes, I looked at the clock on the wall and it was freaking seven in the morning. “Who wants to see me at this early hour?” I groaned, removing the duvet from my body, and stepped down from the bed to open the door. I saw a beautiful young girl around my age in a maid’s black-and-white uniform with a high ponytail. “Good Morning, Madame, sorry to disturb your sleep. I am Agatha and I am appointed by Sir Leo, especially for you. Now, I will take care of all your needs.” She said, looking at me with a broad smile. “Hello, Agatha, please come inside,” I invited her in, and she came in, closing the door behind her back. “Madame, is there anything you want me to do? Should I fix your bed?” She asked, standing near the door. “Agatha, my name is Mishka, don’t call me madame and I can fix my bed myself. You can sit on the couch.” I folded my duvet, but she came forward to set the pillows. “Madame, I ca

Episode 22 Chicken and Mushroom Risotto
~LEO~ It shocked me to the core when Vera turned her neck and looked at Mishka at the mention of the daughter-in-law, and it’s still hard to believe that Vera showed any movement today. I was dumbfounded with my eyes open wide and came out of my trance when a lone tear escaped Vera’s eyes. Mishka sat on her knees in front of Vera, holding her hand, and tried to console her, but her tears were just not stopping. I sat down on my knees beside Mishka and caressed Vera’s hand, but she was not looking at me and constantly stared at Mishka. “Sir, I think we should let her take some rest. Doctors will come soon.” The nurse said, and I nodded my head. Mishka helped the nurse to get Vera laid on the bed smoothly and then we exited Vera’s room. I turned to Mishka. “You are a magician!! She reacted for the first time in all these years. I can’t explain my happiness in words.” I exclaimed. “I am sure she is recovering.” Mishka smiled, “I did nothing, Dadu. I am sure she got very excited when

Episode 23 The Impressive Presentation
At Knight Group, inside the president’s office on the twenty-fifth floor, “What? You will help me with the quotations?” Christian giggled, whereas Mishka frowned at his reaction. “Of course, I can help. Just give me the file. I can help with the cost-cutting,” She argued. “Do you even know the Q of the Quotation? Just go back home, I will figure out something. I want my boulevard project back from Rogers.” Christian said in a determined tone, sauntering towards his desk and picking up the file, but Mishka snatched the file from his hand. “Hey!! What are you doing?” Christian frowned. “At least give me a chance to prove my worth, Chris. Why do you always assume things when it comes to me?” Mishka asked, looking straight into his eyes confidently. Christian deeply exhaled, “Okay, fine, I can give you ten minutes, do whatever you want,” He sat back in his armchair behind the desk while Mishka went back to the couch and took out her glasses from her sling bag. She wore her eyeglasse

Episode 24 First Hug
Mishka picked up the call immediately, walking out of the Christian's cabin. She feared what would the doctor say, but this time, the doctor informed her that his condition was stable and he was recovering slowly. Mishka sighed in relief and thanked the doctor. She ended the call and turned to leave, only to spot the same two boys who prepared the presentation. Both the boys were trying to talk to her, but they didn’t know how she would react, so they just stood beside the cabin, lowering their heads. Mishka approached them. “What happened? Why are you guys standing here?” She asked, folding her arms across her chest. “Ma’am, we are extremely sorry for the mistakes. Because of our lack of focus, the company lost such an extensive project.” The guy said, and the other one was quietly looking at Mishka’s expression. “But, we promise, we will never make such a mistake again. Please talk to sir and save our job.” “See, if we lose this project, I won’t be in a position to convince him!

Episode 25 Keeping An Eye!
Mishka gave the good news to those boys that their job was safe and walked out of the Knights’ building. She was about to get into the car when a call from an anonymous number flashed on her screen. She furrowed her eyebrows but picked up the call. Unknown: Hey! Mishka, this is Rose. Mishka: Oh, hello, Aunt Rose. How are you? Rose: I am fine, dear. I got your number from dad and I was wondering if you could visit me right now. We need to select your wedding gown. Mishka: Oh, okay, where do I need to come? Rose: At your Grandmother-in-law’s boutique (chuckled). I have told the chauffeur he will bring you here. Mishka: Okay then, see you. Rose: I am waitinggg, Bye. Mishka ended the call and kept her phone back in her sling bag, getting inside the car. The entire ride, she was worried about Vera’s health and decided to drop a text to Leo. *** Christian was looking out his window, wondering why was he feeling guilty about lying to Mishka? He was feeling as if he was betraying her

Episode 26 You Look Ugly!
Christian threw the coffee mug on the floor, and it shattered into pieces. Lia looked at him, dumbfounded, while Danny was certain she has crossed her limits again. “That was my favourite mug, fucker!! Who allowed you to throw it?” Danny shrieked, but Christian glared angrily at Lia. Danny huffed, “Fine, I am going out for ten minutes, get your shit together until then and if any of you try to break any of my crockeries, I will straight tell everything to that detective!” He said and left them alone. “What did you say for my grandpa? Top businessman, my ass! What does he want to accomplish in his dying days?” Christian thundered, his eyes turned cold, and Lia gulped in fear. “I didn’t mean to ins….” Lia stuttered. “Shut up, Lia, just shut up! Don’t you dare utter a single word or else you will see my worst side. You are talking about my grandfather. Always keep that in mind before opening your mouth! I might not agree with his decisions right now, but that doesn’t change my love an

Episode 27 Contract Marriage
At Danny’s House, Lia and Danny were sitting crossed legs on the blue couch opposite each other in the living room. “What? What are you waiting for? Get up and get lost!” Danny casually said, and Lia rolled her eyeballs, crossing arms across her chest. “Tell me something, Danny boy. Why do you hate me so much?” She asked, leaning forward. “What have I ever done to you? Why do you always insult me?” Danny chuckled, “After being in a relationship with Chris for almost one and a half years, now you have got time to ask this question?” He asked, raising an eyebrow. “Well, I always felt like you hate me, but I only realised this when Mishka arrived. You’ve met her for once and you have already developed a liking for her.” Lia paused. “What is it in her that’s not in me?” She asked and pursed her lips. “Based on how dramatic you already are, will you be able to bear it if I tell you the truth?” Danny asked, tapping his index finger on his chin. “I promise I won’t say a thing,” Lia repl

Episode 28 Not Even For Dadu
Christian stared at her, studying her expressions when Mishka averted her gaze from the papers and looked back at him with wide eyes, “P-pre nuptial a-agreement.” She stuttered, and Christian nodded his head. “Look, I am not ready for this marriage,” He stated and paused, “I don’t even know you. How can I marry someone who is not a bit like me and desire a happily ever after?” He asked. “Then why did you agree to marry me in the first place?” Mishka asked, arching her eyebrow. “I asked Dadu about your decision and he said you want this marriage.” “Yes, I agreed to marry you, but that was because of Grandpa. See, we are so different from each other. Our thinking, our traditions, our food, and even our clothing don’t match. We are poles apart. It’s better if we do this contract marriage for a year and see how it goes.” Christian said in an attempt to convince her. But at the same time, when he was stating their differences to Mishka, every person in that restaurant at least glanced a

Episode 29 You Are Screwed!!
As soon as Mishka walked out of the restaurant, Danny strode over to Christian’s table and sat on the chair where Mishka was sitting before. “Are you now happy to lose your happily ever after?” Danny asked, completely annoyed by Christian’s attitude. “My happily ever after is with Lia, not Mishka. And why are you so annoyed? Ever since you set foot in the restaurant, you knew what was going to happen here,” Christian answered calmly and sat back in his chair, comfortably. “Okay, I knew what was going to happen here. But I tried to stop you. Do not tell me later that I did not interrupt you from doing such stupidity.” Danny said. “I know she has gone home and now she will tell everything to oldie. You are dead.” “She has gone out to take some fresh air,” Christian said while playing with the rim of his wineglass. “I am sure she has gone out to call oldie,” Danny said. “She will do nothing like that. Just wait and watch. She will come back and sign these papers because she is a gold

Episode 30 Masterstroke
“You are screwed, man.” Danny laughed again and Christian narrowed his eyes. “What do you mean? What has she added to the contract? Why are you laughing, asshole?” Christian shot a series of questions, getting a little hyper, and slammed his fist on the table. “Woah! Easy bro, easy… Why are you getting so hyper!!! Calm down.” Danny said, but Christian stared at him with his blazing eyes. “What are her conditions?” He asked, anger visible on his face. Danny again flipped the page and cleared his throat to read out loud and clear: Replace clause two with #1. There will be absolutely no physical contact between both parties. No marriage consummation. Replace clause three with #2. The couple will not shift to any other house after marriage. They will live with all their family members under one roof. #3 Remove clause five because I don’t need your fucking fifty million. “And the most important clause that must be added otherwise I will not sign this agreement,” Danny repeated the wo
