CHAPTER THIRTY ONE: Rescue mission

"My head is pounding. What happend? Ah. One moment you tell me about my parents betrayal and then the next thing I'm here." Kade sat up scratching the back of his neck trying to remember more but he got stuck, there was just nothing. "You said you wanted to get away and I promised to get you to safety, far from whatever you wanted to run from." Giving Akito a grateful smile he got up and stretches. "I told you this was dangerous. Why did you risk it?" Kade sat once more on the comfortable bed awaiting an answer. Maybe he knew the answer and he just refused to believe what it was. Yawning, Kade places his body tenderly beneath the covers, his facial features soft. He came back, did he forgive him for leaving without a word? No. Yes. Maybe, because if he had not he wouldn't sacrifice his freedom and possibly his life to set him free. "Sleep I will tell you all tomorrow. For now rest." Nodding Kade fell asleep feeling like his forgotten something important maybe he forgot to a

When the wolf made to attack, a spilt laps in judgment and the wolf was blast to one side like it was nothing. The blast was not his elements. No, the blast came from deep within. Somewhere very dark, where every negative feeling in him is stored just spat out with one single angry blast. He felt unstoppable when the wolf that made to hurt them was gone. Unfortunately that feeling did not last long because soon triumph turned black. . Dreams that have been torturing him for a week came rushing back. His running from and unknown assailant. "Find a loophole and fix what you have done!" He commanded the fat dirty mess to reverse a spell he performed. "As I said you over grown lizard, it is on him to remember. I'm not a witch I deal with actual magic." James held the dirty trash in the air, he was ready to take this parasite out of its misery. "Wait. Spare my life an I will tell you a secret." "Right now you have more to lose than I do." It laughed its teeth brown, its breath foul and intent clear. "Fine." "Kade and Akito, their life force is connected. If anything happens to Akito..." Dammit. There is just no way of getting rid of Akito. Thankfully he went against hurting Akito back in South Africa. The dirt faeries began laughing again merthlessly. "Don't worry this one is easy to reverse. Unfortunately I will need both of them there to break the spell." "One rule my Lord. Never trust a dirt faerie. I just need his nail and blood, I will be able to reverse that spell." Elizabeth the Clan healer appeared

Kade does not care his just glad that he gets to see any one other than the dragon today. The dragon, Brandon. The name was on the tip of his tongue and the name signified so much but why? Where they honest to God monogamous lovers? But how did he end up with Akito. Where is Akito now? Why does Akito constantly disappear? "Aww. Come Phee, look at our Lil bros lil bump!" "Common Cass, we here to spend time with our brother before his baby steals his time." Kade faintly smiled but before he could flop on the bed his sister's stopped him. "Common bro we want to show you the room." His eyes widened he was going to leave this room? "Be careful brother these stairs don'

CHAPTER THIRTY FIVE:Negotiations

Everything felt different. Suddenly he views his life on this light. The light when his eyes cracked wide open, he saw it. The arms that held him in its warm embrace. The beautiful room that would be his childs room in this mighty prison. A prison where none lied but no one spoke the truth. This prison can in no way be good for a child, hell he couldn't breathe. Everywhere he looks, whatever he does, the words that come out of his mouth. It was all too much to handle he just wanted the all his problems to stop it's rotation for just a second. No. He has to escape, he has to regain the amount of freedom he had and to do that he has to gain the dragons trust. Kade refuses to be rendered useless, protected, docile in the mighty cluches of his mate. Mate. Supposed mate. Mate nonetheless. CHAPTER THIRTY SIX: Compromise

Kade hates the green monster that came between his emotions and rationality. He feels nothing for the dragon. Should feel nothing for the dragon. The baby might be his, but as a man feels nothing for Brandon. He hates this feeling. Besides if by chance he was jealous why would he hide in his room rather than lock Brandon far, far away? This should prove it, the dragon means nothing to him. The baby made its displeasure known by making Kade sick again. He would rather die than face the dragon or beast again. Wait if he dies... "Life is not fair." He mutters wiping his mouth desgusted and tired. Gurgling water, he spat and faced his miserable self in the mirror. A knock sound on his door and he groaned not in the mood to argue. Why his the baby attacking him? His not the jealous or possessive, it's the one that is yet to born messing with him and his emotions. "Go away!" He made out and his sad condition got much worse. Running to the bathroom, he let loose the food he was y

CHAPTER THIRTY SEVEN: History

Foreign 'In the early times.... before technology got modernized a young soul got trapped on a photograph.' "Impossible but continue." Kade quoted form a book believed to be written by an elemetalist scholer, years back since it was found in the library. "That's bullshit. Why are you reading that book?" Gordon bounced the basket ball, still paying close attention. He was still not willing to put his wife's life in danger to satisfy a board house husband. "Shut up... We all know that you a coward, I love." Pheobe grabbed the ball, teasing her man. She missed having to spend time with her brother, without him despising them for withholding information. "How can a person's soul be trapped on picture?" Alex piped in feeding of the information. "Good question, it says here...." 'there's a camera that captured the girl... Her soul will always and forever be trapped in a prison furthest from the light." "Again. How? How does this make sense?" "I don't know. I'm readin

"You said I can go back to doing missions." "Did I have to mention, not the missions that could potentially harm my mate and child who incase you forget you carry." Granted he stopped listening after: 'It's a short trip-' 'Dead witch or not witch-' 'Trapped something-' 'I must rescue her, free her or at least her soul so she can move on.' But yet again. No one deserves to be be more stubborn than his mate. He was dedicated to being the most frustrating man ever. "Stop using the child to manipulate me!" His sisters and their husbands left the moment Kade opened his mouth, trying to convince him that walking towards the haunted unknown is a good thing. By then he hoped the entire floor cleared up because he was determined not to lose this one. They faced each other both determined and none ready to back down.

CHAPTER THIRTY NINE: The trip

Kade stared into nothingness, his eyes a shade of grey and as one who can transport to a more spiritual world he was honestly concerned. "Stop." His unresponsive. Still. He breaths. His heart beats. But his stalk still. "I said stop the damned car." He demanded that when everyone noticed the paralyzed Kade, that moment the pool of tears in his eyes let go and it escaped. "What the hell is wrong with him?" Brandon brings Kade closer, making sure his dragon ease all his physical ailments. He has does not physical pain. What is happening to him? "We don't know. This is the first time this happens. Why is his eyes that color?" Brandon's numb fingers opened the car doors to give his lost companion air, wherever he was. That's when Kade snapped out of it and took a deep breath in. He rolled outside landing on a patch of grass clutching his chest. "Quick his hyperventilating... Hand me a bottle of water!" Pheobe handed Cassidy a bottle of still water and she rushed out clearly

CHAPTER FORTY: Excution

"I'm scared." "Yeah? Yeah. We are done let's get the hell out of here." Cassidy starred at her own reflection as it just stood there smiling. Her voice shook and her body began trembling in fear. "Yeah... We will leave let's just go check out the basement first." Gordon and Kade hurried along profoundly amazed by the history, his intrig blinding the shadows closing in. Phoebe followed her arms wrapped around Gordon masking her creeped out face. She knew Gordon needs this, so she can't stop him from photographing. Her husbands attention was sourly on his history. "Babe. I think we should leave." Cassidy stressed as an unease feeling knot her insides. "Alright let's go wait outside. Gordon, Pheobe we going to wait outside!" Alex frowned calling out into the darkness for the two to return when a scream broke loose. Downstairs they heard a scream, they had to make sure everyone was safe.
