Kelsey ran to her sister and picked her up, she tapped her cheek but Karin wasn't responding, "Hey, hey wake up", she said.Karin's eyes were still shut. Kelsey laid her on the cushion and ran to the kitchen, she opened the refrigerator and took a bottle of water. Kelsey ran back to Karin and sprinkled the water on her face.Karin opened her eyes almost immediately, "What...what ..what happened", she stuttered.Kelsey gave her a weird look, "You passed out", she replied. Karin cranked her eyes as she tried to remember what happened. She remembered real quick but she still couldn't believe what Dennis said, "Did you say Kelsey is your mate?", she asked.Dennis looked at her with a smile, his white teeth flashed at her, "Yes I did", he responded."Are you sure she is the one?", Sean asked and looked at Kelsey disgustingly, "Are you sure you are not mistaken?, I mean who would want someone like her as a mate", he added.Dennis growled, he saw the way Sean looked at Kelsey and he wasn't

Lucy turned to Dennis in confusion, Dennis was also confused about why she kept repeating her name, "What is wrong Lucy?", he asked.Lucy looked at Kelsey again, she stared at her, it wasn't with the normal stare she gave her before, "Are you sure you are Kelsey?", she asked, raising her eyebrows.Kelsey noticed her reactions and her face fell, she couldn't figure out what Lucy had with her, she kept repeating her names."Yes she is Kelsey, so?", Dennis flared, he wasn't comfortable with Lucy's reactions and actions."Isn't she the girl without a wolf?", she asked pointing to Kelsey, "How come she is your mate?", Lucy asked."Lucy", Dennis shouted."Why are you getting so worked up Dennis?", she asked, Lucy was so naive, "I only asked a question, I just want to know if she is the girl without a wolf", she continued.Dennis sped to her and picked her up, "Don't you dare say another word about her", he roared."Let me down, what is all this about. Let me down please", Lucy pleaded.Kels

Dennis ended his call with Troy and went back into the kitchen where he met Kesley washing up the dishes they used in eating. "I hope you enjoyed the food?" He said as he strolled to where she was standing, he collected the plate from her and helped her rinse it, clean it up and place it on the sink.Kesley found it absurd but relaxed and smiled at him. " I did, although I wasn't expecting it to turn out nice, you've proved yourself to be a good chef." Dennis turned his face to hide his grin from her but Kesley caught him and burst into laughter. "You can say that again."The both of them kept making small talks whilst they cleaned up the kitchen.Kesley felt really happy with how much peace she had now that she was away from her family, although things at the Alpha's place wasn't really what she expected and it's just still the first day, she was still content with not being on edge whenever she heard Sean's or his brothers voice. Above all, she was happy she was a step into getting

Chapter EighteenSean stared hard at her as if he could look right through her.His stare made Kesley shiver in fear, he still had the ability to instill fear in her with just a look.Kesley wanted to smile at him, but the expression simply wouldn't form on her face so she mustered enough courage to give him a stare down too.Whilst their little exchange was on, Dennis was engaged in a discussion with his Beta and turned to her when he was done."It's time to announce our mating." "Isn't it too early, we just got here." Kesley said."Of course not, I do not plan to spend the whole night here, I'll prefer we announce it and get back home, I have a lot of things to do later tonight." He explained and turned just as soon as his Beta mounted the podium. Denis beta, Troy walked up to the stage, "Good evening everyone", he started."Good evening." They all chorused in enthusiasm, leaving all the frivolities to face him, the music playing in the background also stopped."I want to believe

Dennis got home after the long day's work to meet Kelsey in the kitchen cooking. He thought to himself while driving home to ask Kelsey why she doesn't go out for work."Welcome", Kelsey said to him as he got into the house.Dennis nodded and rushed up the stairs, he pulled off his shirt and trousers, picked up his robe and motioned for the bathroom.Dennis stood under the shower as the water flowed down his body.Minutes later, he emerged from the room in his nightwear, he walked down the stairs and on to the dining room, Kelsey had already set the table.Dennis ate in silence as he thought about how to talk to Kelsey about working. He walked back to the main room after eating and waited for Kelsey to finish up what she was doing in the kitchen.Kelsey walked to him after some minutes, "Good night", she murmured and turned to leave."Hey", Dennis called and Kelsey turned back, "I have to discuss something with you", he added, "Take a seat", Dennis muttered pointing to the cushion bes
