Lahat ng Kabanata ng The Dragon King's Chosen Bride: Kabanata 491 - Kabanata 500

“How?”“We will tell you when you tell us the side you are on,” Jyris' father said. Thinking quickly, she asked how it was possible that they still had Lutya’s body unburnt when the White King had said he set her ablaze. “I helped with that,” Boro answered, then he continued. “It wasn't ordinary flames, it was one to tell the truth.”“How did you help with it?”Bori wasn't in Xinora’s memory, and Belladonna could feel that he was the one that had brought her here; the needed touch was acquired, but nothing had come out of it. So who exactly was he because she had seen nothing about him?It was different from trying to figure out Xinora’s relationship with Dogori. It wasn't like there was none, it was just like there was a block. But for Bori, it felt like there was none. “I am Dogori’s only apprentice. I have his trust and my ways that I intend to use for the freedom of all of Vestros from the hands of the White King.” He spoke with so much conviction and hatred for his teacher,

Bori had strengthened the tattoo, a dragon being had been killed to do that. It was sad and an uncomfortable knowledge for Belladonna but it was necessary. She still hadn't been able to find a way to get out of the castle to send a message to Alaris. The White King still wasn't back yet, neither was Jyris. The Queen and the leader of the four Houses betraying the White King were happy to have her as a new acquisition to the weapons against their enemy.Bori warned Belladonna that after this, the only thing that would keep Xinora away was her acquiring the Death Gem and she had agreed to it. Tonight was, however, a very special night. It was the night for them to kill the White King. They had been planning it for a long time, poisoning him slowly and weakening him. Weakening him?!The White King Belladonna had encountered didn't look weak at all! If that was his weak state, she wondered what he really was like. “Is there anything I must do?”The Queen nodded. “Do not interfere.”

Belladonna was right, Dogori had led them to his lair. There were bottles everywhere, skulls hanging from the ceiling, bones left and right, and an unpleasant smell in the air; maybe it was from the big pot on the fire in a corner of the room. There were lit candles hung on the wall, providing light to the room. In the midst of it all and fastening the chain around five people seated on the floor was Jyris. He raised his head when he saw them coming and when he saw her, he heaved a visible sigh of relief and flashed her a smile. The Rebellion in the Castle was certainly the emergency they had yesterday afternoon. They had definitely talked about it. Once again, Belladonna felt the feeling buzz in her veins. She had been so close to being discovered. “The Five Houses are against me, even my own.” The White King’s gaze zeroed on his wife who stared back at him with rage, her words a muffled noise against the piece of cloth that had been stuffed into her mouth, just like the rest of

It took the first rickety step before crashing into pieces beneath her and withering away. She had almost made it to the bed. Belladonna attempted to crawl her way forward but she was too tired and starting to feel really dizzy. Too many things had happened that night and it seemed that the magic she had just performed had further drained life out of her.Everything was moving too fast in her life. Also she had noticed that she didn't need to chanel to Xinora anymore. What she had just done was the same thing she would usually do with the creation of the shadow warriors. She had tried to give life to something before but it hadn't worked. But this time, it did even though that wasn't what she had planned at all. Dogori using her to summon that undead army might have something to do with it. Although, it clearly didn't last as long. The Death Gem was still needed. Belladonna wondered if it only worked on wooden structures. But those were how far her thoughts could get before she

There was silence.“What do you want?” “I do not know.”Belladonna frowned. “Is that an answer to both questions?” “Indeed.”Well, that didn't make any sense. “Why did you take me?”He turned to her now and something about that made her halt in her action of trying to get her blood dagger.“Because you did not die. I touched you and you did not die.”There was silence for only a moment; that was all Belladonna could spare herself to think. Time, after all, wasn't on her side. *You need help. My help.”He said nothing and that only infuriated her. She couldn't see his facial expression, not with him retaining the image of an undead warrior. If he was still in the image of Jyris, at least she would be able to figure out some of his thoughts. “I can help you,” she said again, more urgently this time. “I can take you to someone who can help you. I know a good wizard and a powerful friend. But if we are to get there in time, then you must cut me loose and follow my lead.”Why was he
