Nikolai’s POVWe were piecing together information with Aleena. For me it was a little awkward working with someone so young, much less the fact that she was an omega. I’ve never met a young omega female that knew as much as she did especially on this particular topic. I had asked a few friends of mine that nobody knew about, to look into what we had been putting together. I was sending them texts as we pieced together major points, such as the locations moving and the 150-year gap, and etc.… We were all trying to work together to get as far ahead of this as we could. In the middle of our meeting, my office phone rang. I excused myself from the conference room and went down to my office to take the call. “Alpha, It’s Becka. I need you down here now. I got the results back on that girl’s blood.”“On my way.” Was all I said. I hung up the phone, told the boys and Derek that I had to go but didn’t give them any direction or explanation. Becka sounded almost worried about what she found

Gunner’s POVI was in the middle of the meeting with the Alpha’s, Charlie, my mate’s parents, my dad, and Legolas , when I felt the connect being forced through. I opened my mind to let her in but this time it was different. Maddox was actually seeing through Sarah ’s eyes, which I could see also. There was a man standing in the doorway. I immediately grabbed a pencil and paper and started drawing.“Son what’s…” Dad started to ask, but I held my hand up to quiet him. I went back to sketching the guy as I listened in on their conversation. I was almost done when I figured out that this guy was my mate’s biological father. He was the King of the Lycans. By the time I was done sketching, everybody’s eyes were on me. I slid the paper to Charlie, who took it and, wait…was he smiling?“What is so funny?” I stood up asking him.“My apologies. Your sketch is actually perfectly. I know this man and he is…” Charlie’s smile got even larger.“He’s the King of the Lycans.” I finished for him. Eve

Gunner’s pov“sir, cheyenne’s father has been m.i.a. for a few days now. ben and i just came from her house and we talked to tyler while we were there. we were looking for kira and wanted to question tyler about her and when we asked to talk to his father, that’s when he informed us that he couldn’t deal with the lies from his mate and that he needed some space to clear his mind but he hasn’t been seen for a few days now. i wanted to speak with you about it to see if you could possibly up your border patrols or possibly send trackers to find him.” i said lowly but i knew he heard everything.“i would’ve known if he left the territory so he’s still within the borders. i will send my beta back to go look for him along with my best tracker. i wouldn’t normally worry about situations like this if i know they’re still within the territory but with everything going on at the moment, i do not want to take any chances. i do appreciate you bringing this to my attention gunner.” alpha brock sta

Gunner’s povi was in the middle of training with Legolas when i felt my mate trying to connect with me. i told Legolas i needed a break and went off to a quieter place so i could hear her. maddox jumped in before i could even say hi, and then she said she was in the shower. oh for the love of all things holy. this girl is going to be the death of me. i could feel maddox prancing around pushing images in my head of our mate in the shower. thank the goddess that sar distracted maddox long enough for my mate and i to talk. she updated me on how her training had been going and how some guy named jax had been more or less taking care of her this whole time. although the thought of another male touching my mate pissed me off, i also owed him for making sure she was safe. i had to calm maddox down a couple of times at the thought of this guy and we finally agreed that we wouldn’t kill him but instead he deserved a thank you. at least until we got her back, because once i’m back around her,

Aleena's POVThe next morning had gone as any other morning had. Jax and I, along with a few others, were down in the dining hall finishing up with breakfast. I had already mind linked him to tell him that his plan to draw the secret note leaving bitch out was in motion, along with the news about the first boat arriving today. He already had someone make up a list of the first wave of people to leave this place. They were lower on the ladder of status so less likely to be noticed that they were missing, least until the dust started to pile up anyways. Jax stood up and cleared his throat, “Can I have everybody’s attention please?” Everybody went silent and were all staring at him now. “As you all know, I had my chance at a mate. Some of you know how that ended. Second chance mates for our kind is very rare, but I am here to tell you that it has in fact happened.”Jax looked down at me and held out his hand for me to take. I took his hand and put a big smile on my face and stood up nex
