Royce Miller's POVKring...Kring...kring...The sound of my alarm clock wakes me up from a good sleep. Well, I thought I would not be able to sleep inside Reid's room, but since I was a little tipsy last night, I didn't care anymore if this is not my own bed. I was supposed to be sleeping in my bedroom when I arrived home last night but I opted not to, instead, I just changed my clothes and took off my wig, and then came inside Reid's room. I made a quick glance at my wristwatch and it was already 6:00 in the morning. This is not my usual wakeup and so I'm a little bit sleepy. But there's no other choice but to get used to getting up very early in the morning. Gladly, I only had a few drinks last night at Skybar because I always had in mind that I need to go home early for my first day of duty in the office.Alexa asked me to drive Vera home since she wanted to spend much time with Vince. Besides, I know Vera was not feeling good because I saw her puffy eyes when I went back to our ta

Vera Anderson's POVWhen I got into my room, I threw my bag on my bed and slumped on the mattress in a prone position. I buried my face in the pillow and poured out all the emotions that I was trying to hold back a while ago. I'm sobbing like a child because I am really hurt. And I don't know why I'm feeling this way. I haven't experienced this in my entire life. If this is what they called 'love', then, why it's so painful? A few minutes have passed and tears have run dry, but still, I'm thinking of that kiss Royce and Roxette shared together, causing my heart to ache so much. Suddenly, my phone rang, and it was Royce. Maybe Alexa gave him my number, but I don't want to pick up the call. But the phone kept on ringing at certain intervals, so I grabbed it and clicked the accept button."Hello", I spoke softly."Hey, are you okay? I am so worried about you, so I asked your number from Alexa", Royce's sweet voice soothes my ears. This heart of mine was beating again at an abnormal spee

Royce Millers' POV It's been past one hour and I'm still trying to unlock the safe folder on my brother's cellphone, but nothing happens. Until it says, I have to wait for another 24 hours before trying again. I took a long deep sigh as I placed the cellphone above the drawer. Still, it remains a puzzle to me, what could be the password of Reid's safe folder. Suddenly my phone rang and it was again Vince. I don't know why he was calling me again after I lied to him that I am now in Beverly Hills. Maybe, he did not believe what I said and he wanted me to join him at Perch. I sat on the bed and leaned my back on the headboard as I accepted Vince's call. I could hear loud music and people laughing and talking with each other at the bar. Until I could only hear a little noise. "Bro, you're calling me again. I guess you are now at Perch. Who is with you?", I spoke a little loud. "Yes bro, I am now at Perch. Actually, I postponed the hangout when you said a while ago that you're now i

Vera Anderson's POV I'm at home and lying in my soft bed but sleep still doesn't want to visit me. The events in Perch keep coming back to my mind and until now I'm still trembling in fear. What if Royce did not come and save me? It was all my fault. I trusted Simon Morris too much and I never thought he could do such thing to me not until I felt something strange in him when we were at Perch. I was getting emotional again. What if my brother will know this? I don't want him to worry about me, so better not to tell him. Vince's life was even put in danger when he was stabbed behind. I did not know who was the culprit but I'm sure it was Simon's accomplice. I was just glad Vince was immediately brought to the hospital or else, I would forever be carrying a pang of guilt in my conscience if something bad happened to him. And that wine glass! Maybe Simon put something on it and if Vince did not throw it on the floor, I would probably have drunk the wine. That shameless Simon Morris!

Royce Miller's POV As the old saying goes, "You cannot serve two masters at the same time". You know that aside from META, I have something else to worry about and that is the real estate company. This might not be the right time to tell you this, because my son Reid is still in the process of recovery after his comatose, but I know as well that my son is capable of doing the responsibilities. For this, I made up my mind to hand over the entire management of META to him ", dad paused for a while. He looked around and smiled as everyone waits for what he will be saying next. "I am handing over my Chairmanship to the CEO of META, Mr. Reid Miller", dad said with a sense of pride in his voice as he met my gaze and gestured me to join him in the front. All their eyes were set on me and Walter who was sitting beside me, showed a grinning smile as he tapped my shoulder and started to clap his hands. A loud round of applause echoed throughout the place as I stood up and walked to the front
