Chapter fifty one: bait
After Sei finally calmed down, which took nearly an hour, he left the house to take a breather. That was a long time ago, half the day probably went by when he stepped into the forest. Alexander and I haven't seen or heard from him at all after that. Why do I feel like this is all my fault?Silas did this to us... He ruined everything. Why did he run? Why couldn't he admit to his own family and the woman he hurt that he was lying this whole entire time? Why would you believe someone you barely know over him?Because the story just made sense. Silas has been acting strange with this whole 'make the world bow before us' stuff. How could that not be suspicious?"Akielia, would you please tell me what is going on. I hate being left in confusion." Alexander said, approaching me. I was seated on the spot Daffodil found me sulking on, staring at the beautiful sunset. I can't believe how a day has almost gone by. Yesterday at this time, I would have never thought that Silas and Sei would fal

Chapter fifty two: Valedria
Discomfort. What is discomfort? It's the terrible feeling I had as I sat down in front of a large bonfire while nearly a hundred different creatures stared back at me with unrecognizable expressions. It reminded me of the competition I had witnessed just a few days ago, where I accidentally exposed my identity in the middle of a battle. This time, no one was here to protect me.Sure Valedria instructed them to not lay a single hand or claw on me... But that never did stop the hungry gazes I received from the vampires of the group or the demons that were probably thinking of many ways to torture me and jerk off while they watched. It didn't help that these were the best fighters of the island either. Why else would they be here with the vampire leader himself?"Enough gawking! Get back to securing the area!" The green-skinned woman screamed, making all of the males stop staring and get back to work. I sighed in relief and gave her a look of gratitude. She handed me a tin can that had w

Chapter fifty three: privacy
"Darling? It's time you woke up." A voice whispered in my ear, my body being shook slightly. I groaned lowly as my sleep left me. "No..." I mumbled, rolling over. The hand shaking my shoulder slid down my arm and landed on my waist, gently shaking it. "Baby, we need to depart now. Wake up so you can freshen up.""Depart where?" I asked, still barely awake. I could tell that it was Alexander speaking to me, but I haven't had such good sleep in a while that I didn't want it to ever end."Back to Lunaria. Word has it that the sorceress managed to get through the borders. All of our strongest creatures are here so everyone back home is in danger." My eyes snapped open at that and I quickly sat up, nearly falling over cause I was still really sleepy. Alexander held my shoulder to keep me from humiliating myself. "Is Sei okay?" I only just remembered that we were at Valedria's tent."He's fine, still going on about killing Silas... But he's willing to fight."I sighed softly, "how am I goi

Chapter fifty four: lord
"Alright, everyone! It's time to head back to Lunaria. Don't forget to split up to minimize human contact." Valedria instructed outside the tent.I gulped down the last bit of water from a tin Alexander had given me. After our first time together, which definitely did not disappoint, he made sure that I was cleaned up and dressed before giving me a moment to catch my breath. I felt a bit weak from the blood loss but I was glad that it didn't hurt nearly as it did the first time.Maybe I even enjoyed it a little bit. I stood up and stepped out of the tent, squinting my eyes at the powerful rays from the sun that hit my face. I held my hand up to shield myself from it and looked around. Some creatures gave me glances as usual but didn't say anything. I know for sure they heard Alexander and I. After all, we only had the thin sheet of a tent separating us from the others. Sex is something done a lot by these creatures. Hearing it must not have meant anything to them. I saw Valedria sp

Chapter fifty five: back in Lunaria
"Queen?" Soft murmers of confusion were heard amongst the remaining creatures. Even as they were on their knees, their eyes focused on the moist soil beneath them, I could hear the surprise and doubt laced in their voices as they questioned Valedria's words."As you all know, I have been put in power of all laws and rule making for as long as I remain alive. Alexander, your new Lord, is undoubtedly in love with this human. He has no eyes for any other but her, therefore she will remain as his unless they both decide otherwise."No one even questioned Valedria's words, but I could see some of them shaking their heads in disapproval. It didn't matter who was speaking to them, they still did not think that I was fit to lead them. Everyone in Lunaria was ferocious and really powerful. What good would having a weak queen do? "My decision will not be debated. When the problem with the sorceress ends, I will lift the ban on romantic human relationships. Now let's go to war."Everyone stoo

Chapter fifty six: mates
I ran to Daffodil, who was hovering over Sharlene and Melissa. If this was not such a serious situation, I would have stopped and laughed at the scene in front of me.Sharlene and Melissa were in matching tight blue dresses that had pink floral designs on them. Sharlene's dress had ridden up her legs and it looked like a shirt, exposing her black underwear for the whole island to see. Melissa's dress was torn around the shoulder area, her high heels had snapped and were laying a few feet away from her. How did they end up like this when Daffodil wasn't even touching them?A roar of thunder made me squeak in surprise, capturing the women's attention. Daffodil looked surprised to see me, but she quickly masked her expression. "Akielia! So glad you joined the party! I was starting to think you were dead." The fairy said, a smile forming on her face."Daffodil, looking as lovely as I last saw you." I wasn't lying. Her blonde hot-crossed bun was still neatly done and her straight yellow

Chapter fifty seven: plan
"I'll help you stop her."That's nice and all but can we talk about how in the world Sei is your real mate?Does the word 'mate' have meaning anymore or is it just for everyone?"Thank you, Daffodil. This will not be forgotten." I told her blankly, turning to look at the storm that was beginning to get more aggressive. Precious' eyes were no longer the colour they usually were, they were a milky white colour, as if she was blind. It was a creepy sight to see on someone I had believed was human for so long."How do we stop her?" I asked the fairy. She let go of Sei, making him turn around and prepare for battle."Two options." Daffodil suggested, holding up two fingers. "You behead her, which is impossible to do right now or you find a source to put her power in.""I'm not following on the second option." I admitted to her. What did she mean by 'find a source'?"Her power is at full capacity. If you are able to find someone who can handle it in their body, we can take Precious' power a

Chapter fifty eight: pain
"You know, I have you to thank for all of this. I would have never been able to enter through the borders if you hadn't done what you did." She said, her milky eyes glimmering as she grew excited.I stood in front of her, glaring at her. Everyone had retreated at Alexander's command. They were standing in the trees, waiting to help if I ever needed it. Daffodil was rising up to the clouds behind Precious. I kept my eyes on Precious, making sure to speak to her so she wouldn't notice what was happening around her."You can still surrender, Precious. It doesn't have to end like this." I told her. I knew that it was too late to get through to her, but I needed to give Daffodil some time. I glanced up at her. She lifted her hands over her head, channeling some magic into a ball between them."You know, I really liked you." Precious added, completely ignoring my previous statement. I watched her cautiously as she slowly stepped closer to me."Such a bright, intricate young lady. One full o
