Marcus stiffened at that question. He was really thinking of what to say that would convince the Alpha King. He was beginning to suspect that for the Alpha King to start asking such questions, he must have heard something. "Of course she gets paid, your Highness. It's just that Selena is a slow witted one since she was young. So we just pay her by cash instead of stressing her poor brain by making her go to banks" he replied. " Smart one" Selena snorted silently. Dylan looked at Lucius at that lie but he didn't say anything. "Well, if that's the case, I need an ID for her," he said. " If I may ask, why your Highness?" Marcus asked. He didn't want Selena close to the Alpha King at all. He feared that she might tell the Alpha King everything and since he seemed to favour her, he will surely want to take revenge for her. He was quite jealous that another man was willing to take care of her. "She will start working for me now," Dylan replied. Marcus looked at him, not knowing what

"What does the Alpha King want?" Farell asked when Marcus came out of the Alpha King's office. He had been waiting outside all the while. He and the Alpha were at the same place when the Alpha got Lucius's call. They had both thought it was something very important. "To make an ID for Selena," Marcus replied grumpily. He was still angry that the Alpha King couldn't call another but him a whole Alpha. He felt the Alpha King belittled his title to have called him just for a maid. Even Farell was surprised that he couldn't help but to exclaim. “Huh!" Marcus gritted his teeth. "That Alpha King is nothing but a spoiled brat," Marcus said. Farell didn't have anything to say because he knew that the Alpha King was just correcting the wrong that was done to his sister. He just walked along. "Have you noticed anything unusual between the Alpha and your sister?" Marcus asked. " Which of my sisters?" Farell asked. The truth was, he knew that the Alpha was referring to Selena but he wa

" I don't think so. I think it's the Alpha King that fancies her" Marcus said. Although Marcus doesn't like Selena, he knew she can't do such a thing. Even with the way she's been treated, she had always accepted her fate gently and had never tried to run from it. " You don't understand, do you? The Alpha King seemed to be the only one who is higher than you are. She must have played a pity party on him to take revenge on you. Think about it" she said spitefully. What she said partially made sense to Marcus. "But do you think the Alpha King is one to be easily seduced?" He asked. Hyrene snorted. " Selena is beautiful. Do you know the countless men she had seduced by just passing. The Alpha King is a male and she can do it if she wants to" she said with bitterness especially when she had to admit that Selena was beautiful. Marcus believed her. If not for discipline, he would have surely laid with her. Even till now, he was still very much attracted to her. He didn't say anything

She bit her lower lips in shame. "Is she for real?" Dylan thought. He didn't know why she was taking the blame. He snorted at her words and smiled at how she behaved but the smile disappeared like it never appeared so she wasn't able to see it. "You should sleep here every night. Don't wait for me to come pick you up again" he said blankly. Selena looked at him sharply. She didn't expect him to say that at all. "So you knew?" She said in a low voice. Dylan crossed his legs and looked at her. "Go get me breakfast," he said, not answering her question. Selena nodded her head and ran out. When she got out, she sighed in relief. She had thought that she was going to be scolded this morning. When she got to her room, she was shocked to see Marcus seated in her room waiting for her. She knew this was another set of trouble for her. "Alpha" she bowed. Marcus looked at her from the crown of her head to the sole of her feet. He knew she just woke up from somewhere. Selena stood ther

Selena sighed. She was indeed in the middle of a dilemma here. She will get into trouble with the Alpha King if she doesn't serve him and she can't also refuse the Luna's errands. Now she really doesn't know what to do. "The Alpha King asked me to prepare him breakfast......." " Another will do that" Hyrene snapped. She was really jealous of Selena. "Alright Luna" she said. She didn't know what to do so she planned on working with speed so that she can at least meet up with her class. But then she was scared of the Alpha King's anger. Dylan on the other hand waited for Selena to bring his breakfast but he didn't get Selena but another. "Why are you bringing me breakfast?" He asked. The maid who brought the food shook at the fierceness in his voice. "The Luna said that Selena is sick and has gone to the hospital, so I should help her serve you breakfast," she said, shaking. Dylan didn't say anything. He was sure that there was a lie in what had just been said. He woke up with
