Chapter 41Arabella placed the red heart necklace around her throat. Gabriel was taking Arabella dining and afterwards they were to hit a club downtown. She smoothed out the hearts as she thought about the missing heart and where it was. She felt a twinge in her own heart as the memories of Lucian came pouring in. Arabella did not try to stop them; it would have been a useless endeavor. She could not believe she had been so young and naive. Chapter 49Mother paced her chamber, confusion rolling off her in waves. She felt as though they were under attack from person or persons unknown. Mother knew that was impossible.
