NIGHT CHANGES

In the early morning, Annika found herself outside the office of PR Shipping Management. She was stunned by how large and tall the building was. She thought this was a really big company and a serious business Mr. Rocha owned. In her hand was a copy of her resume and the business card Mr. Phillip Rocha gave her the last time he had dinner with his guest at La Gondola. She was hoping that Phillip would be in his office today so she could tell him that she was willing to accept the offer to work on the ship as a crew member. She approached the security outside the building and asked, "Good Morning, I am here to see Mr. Phillip Rocha." The security responded, "Do you have an appointment with him?" "Oh, I am just here to apply for a job on the ship." Annika told him. The security asked for her resume and she obliged, handing him her only copy. CHAPTER 13 CRUISING FOR BRUISING

Today, is the day Annika finally embarks the new adventure of her life, she joined the cruise ship Fair Princess, everything is new to her, it’s her first time to board an airplane, the first time too see a big passenger ship and the first time go work overseas. She is sad to leave La Gondola and her family back home but she feels like she really needs to do this to forget the betrayal, Bruce and Jessica did that hurst her. It was not easy to leave but she stays strong to what her plan is and here she is standing in front of the ship she will be joining with all her luggage on her side. CHAPTER 14 The Encounter

"Goodbye Captain Matteo, we are going to miss you!" Annika utters these words while waving goodbye to the outgoing Captain Matteo. CHAPTER 15 MAYDAY!

The following day, Annika wakes up to the sound of a fire drill announcement from the Safety Officer, Lioni. " May I have your attention please? The ship will conduct a fire drill with all the crew. "Please remain calm." Then a long, loud siren emergency signal can be heard everywhere in the ship, followed by the announcement of the fire drill by the captain himself, "May Day, May Day! May Day! CHAPTER 16 THE MEAN GIRLS

Annika decided to go for a walk around Noumea while the ship was moored. It was a gorgeous day; the foliage on the trees was in full bloom, the sun was up and stroking her beautiful Asian skin, and the wind was just right for her to enjoy her time off. It was a peaceful and lovely afternoon. CHAPTER 17 FACING ADVERSITY

Annika was seeking for a spare table to eat at for a peaceful lunch in the crew mess. While she was eating, a bunch of Jaqueline’s gangs entered, all laughing as though they were having a good time. While they were waiting in line, Gemma noticed Annika and murmured something to Jaqueline while directing her gaze to where Annika is sitting. They sat like children, pushing each other about, making noise, laughing, and chatting loudly to the next table, where Annika was seated and they could see her face. CHAPTER 18 THE PLAN

THA PLANCaptain Magnus was roaming around the ship early in the morning checking all the safety equipment with Chief Officer Larson; he was just in his white uniform without any bars on it, looking casual but still dignified. CHAPTER 19 THE FULL MOON

Annika did not go directly to her cabin that night; she wanted to visit Captain Magnus. "I need to meet the captain tonight; this is not good; I am in serious danger," she reflected. When she arrived at the captain's cabin, she wasn't sure whether she was doing the proper thing, so she just knocked on his door. At first, no one is opening the door; she tried twice but nothing happened, so she planned to turn back, but then someone opens the door and asks her, "Annika?"
