HIs lips crash onto hers, engaged in a fiery passion. Scarlett is taken aback by his actions, her mind temporarily overwhelmed by his musky scent. His lips are surprisingly soft and taste sweet. He gently grazes her tongue with his, making Scarlett’s stomach flutter. But the warmth stays only for an instant. It dawns on her that Ryder stole her first kiss.Even though she had been married to Hector for three years, he never kissed her, let alone touch her. And now this strange man was kissing her. Was it loneliness or just a fleeting feeling but at that moment, she wanted him to keep going. The years in jail have only increased her isolation and now that she’s back in the real world, she just wants to feel again. Even if it means kissing Ryder Rochester..Ryder didn’t expect her to kiss him back but she did. To his own astonishment, it isn’t a bad feeling. Her damp hair is tangled in his fingers and he can feel her cheeks warming up. He deepens the kiss, their tongues wrapped in a fi

Hector is staring outside the window, his eyes calm yet brimming with anger. He’s on the watch for his ex-wife and her new husband who are due to arrive at any moment. “Ahem.”He groans and turns around to find Jeremy standing there. The old man is unfazed by the events, hiding his feelings with utmost professionalism. “Mr. and Mrs. Rochester will be moving in today,” he informs Hector, ignoring the latter’s anger. “I’ve prepared the extended mansion’s rooms for them, fully furnished and-”“That f*cking b*tch and her man-wh*re can stay in the outhouse!” Hector growls. “They’re not welcome here-”“They own half of the mansion and have the right to stay wherever they choose to,” Jeremy cuts through. “It was your carelessness which cost you your mansion. Thankfully, your antics only cost us this mansion and not the main one. Otherwise, your father would have struck you down.”A cold silence follows. Hector turns away from him, resuming to gaze at the gate outside. At any moment, Scarle

Kat is yawning hard. The textbooks in front of her are open but she’s scarcely paying any attention to them. She’s bored of the quiet life and sighs. “Why isn’t that b*tch making things interesting?” She complains out loud. She has already read the books a dozen times to the point she memorized them all. Ryder and Scarlett moved out of the mansion so it’s just her alone. Even though there are staff members and Ryder’s men to protect her, she feels bored without her brother around. She’s itching to get her hands on the psycho. Kat picks up the pictures Jim sent her and frowns. There’s a phone next to the pictures as well. The pictures are from a homicide site where they found a body which had been brutally mauled by a car. The police are baffled because they can’t seem to find any tire tracks around. Jim reckons that someone dumped the body in that area and the man actually died elsewhere. Even though the police are looking for the killer, they can’t find anything substantial. The

Ryder is stunned. She’s going to save Elle? Even after everything Elle did to her?Scarlett doesn’t look back and keeps on running. She’s anxious about the outcome and scared. Please let me be on time, she prays. Please!Meanwhile, a server carries Elle to her room. Her key is in her purse so he takes it out and unlocks the door to drop her off on a bed. Elle is semi-conscious, unable to fathom anything. Her hair is slightly messed up and she stirs in her state. The server quietly exits the room, leaving her alone in there. As soon as the server is gone, a few men approach the room. One of them takes out a key and unlocks the door with it.“Is that the girl?” One of the men sneers.“I think so,” another one says. “The guy said that someone will drop off the girl in this room.”“It must be her! I heard our prey is very beautiful and this one looks like an angel.”They’re staring at Elle’s still form. In the midst of her fuzzy state, she can hear whispers all around her. She can’t make

Scarlett wakes up early. Or rather, she barely slept the night before. Her mind is jittery with what Ryder is planning to do. She can’t help but feel ominous about his ‘sleuthing’. Is he gonna torture someone? Or kill a person? The mafia men aren’t very forgiving when it comes to their enemies…Her phone beeps. It’s a message from Ryder.“Meet me at the cafe at the 25th street,” she murmurs. “Come alone.”She quickly freshens up and heads out. Thankfully, Hector and his cronies are busy with Elle so she didn’t run into anyone on the way. She quietly steps out of the house and heads towards 25th Street. There’s a small cafe at a corner but to her surprise, it’s not open yet. Scarlett frowns. She tries to peek through the window but there’s no one inside either. Where can he be?“Aye girlie, ya got any puffs?”Startled, Scarlett spins around to find a shabby man in his seventies. The man has shaggy white hair and he’s wearing a half torn hat. His shirt is in tatters and he stinks of al
