The Party (2)

“What’s this…” Kat murmurs. She leans forward to spot something on the screen. The lady, Roxanna Hapsburg, is pouring something in a drink and handing it to a server. She subtly points at Scarlett, who’s standing a few feet away.

Kat immediately picks up her phone and calls Scarlett’s phone but to her annoyance, Scarlett’s phone is out of reach! Scarlett seems alert on the screen but Kat can’t take any chances. She dials another number and thankfully, this one rings.

“The bird has left the nest!” She tells cryptically. “I repeat, the bird has left the nest!”

A stern voice comes from the other end.

“Coordinates?”

“D13…no, it’s D15 now!”

The person on the other end hangs up. Kat watches anxiously as the server approaches Scarlett.
