*Kalpana Pov*“Hello!” feeling startled to hear the voice I glanced away from Sudhir and Harsha to see Jhanvi sitting beside me on the steps.“Harsha said you will not come.” I said explaining my surprise.“Leave that aside and tell me why didn’t you locked the front door.” She inquired frowning at me.“I forgot! And every person in this area keeps an eye on every house. There is no danger.” I said, shrugging to which she rolled her eyes.“So, you talked to Pallavi?” she asked slowly.“No!” I simply replied, turning back to stare at Sudhir laughing with Harsha.“You are still angry at her?” she asked and I can hear the shock in her voice.“Kalpana?” she asked when I kept silent.“I don’t know! One time I feel silly to feel angry and the next moment I am unable to brush. And the other matter is I am ashamed of myself.” I replied honestly.“Why?” she asked, frowning.“I went over the top with my tone and words. I mean, she wanted to help me and she actually did. You don’t know how car

*Manohar Pov*“Answer me!” she demanded, standing up and moved to place her fists on the table while I closed my eyes.“I will not allow you to hurt her at all. She has already been through a lot and you want to hurt her more?” she asked and at her words my eyes opened with confusion.“How exactly am I hurting her?” I asked, trying to control the anger at her words.“I don’t know what you have done, but she thinks you as her friend now. However, with this hot and cold behavior of you is nothing but making her confused.” She started explaining.“You are occupying her mind so much that she is not giving any heed to the things around her. I mean she threw the matter aside of Kiran confessing his likeness and is concentrating on how unfair you were. If this goes like this then how will she move on with her life with some good person?” she asked shaking her head.“Damn it!” I mumbled, standing up and crossed towards the window.“Why are you behaving like this?” she asked in a tired voice.

*Kalpana Pov*“Good morning, Sir.” I greeted, walking inside his cabin.“Good morning, Kalpana.” He greeted back checking something in his system.Does he ever take a rest? He just keeps on working whenever I see him and always comes so early.“Are you ready?” he asked after a minute, but I just got lost in my thoughts. It’s been one week since he did those… those ‘acts’ and it feels like I just dreamed. As he is completely normal except for using my name directly.“Kalpana?” he asked, looking up and I broke out of my thoughts.“Ready for what, Sir?” I asked him frowning.“Today I have meeting.” He simply replied.“I know, Sir! I am here to give a brief of the presentation.” I mumbled gesturing the notepad.“You are coming with me, remember?” he asked and then I actually did remembered.“But…” I mumbled and immediately stopped.“I will come, Sir.” I mumbled, knowing well I can’t sit here feeling scared when it is part of my job.He already gave me so much lenience in this matter and

"Call her, Kalpana!" I averted my gaze away from her before adjusting Sudhir's shirt."I will call her, Jhanvi. But you all are getting late." I mumbled frowning."Until I know she will be here to take care for you, I will not leave this house." She said making me turn to stare at her."Why do I need her or anyone? You already helped me with all the things I need." I said literally whining making Sudhir chuckle at me."At least tell her you need her so that I will feel fine that she will be there when you need something. And your boss too is fine with her coming here to help you if you are worrying about her missing the work." She added and I immediately shut my mind at the way thoughts started the moment I heard his mention. What shall I consider yesterday's events as? It's all seemed to be some roller coaster and I was just sitting there folding my arms or sleeping."Kalpana!" she called tapping my shoulder."Fine! I will call her." I said taking out my mobile and called her."Kalpa

*Kalpana Pov*“Time to get up.” I heard Jhanvi and turned to see her getting up from the bed and I know it is very early from her normal timings.“Sorry!” I said, turning around completely and stared at her.“Don’t say that! Anyway, you will be taking care of both of them tomorrow with them having their weekend and me enjoying the work at the hospital.” She said smiling.“Still, I wish I didn’t get hurt.” I mumbled sighing.“I too wish for that so don’t worry.” She said and walked towards the washroom.I closed my eyes, feeling sleepy, but opened them hearing the door bell. Who is it at this time? I thought moving a little to be in sitting position.“Who can be this early?” Jhanvi asked, walking out of the washroom.“I don’t know!” I mumbled and she nodded, walking out of the room.I waited for a few minutes and then she returned with a grin on her face making me frown. I questioned her with my eyes, but then she moved making me understand who it is.“What are you doing here, Sir?” I
