Lahat ng Kabanata ng The Alpha's Hated Slave Mate : Kabanata 231 - Kabanata 240

Author's POV...Kara could feel the wind on her face; the cold morning air felt good against her skin. For the past nights, she had been going through records, strategizing and coming up with the easiest and fastest ways to infiltrate Logan's pack.Vader and Carl were right beside her, also coming up with brilliant plans to execute the mission. Kara had to admit that Logan's pack was very powerful, the soldiers were well trained, and every pack member had a standard defence skill; she warned Alpha Carl that attacking the red Lotus pack would not be as easy as they estimated.Vader and Carl had no doubt believed that since she knew the ins and outs of the pack, then it should be easy for them to attack and succeed. But Kara pointed out that even if she knew the pack very well, it would still not be a cakewalk to take them down because the men were strong, and Logan was not that easy to outsmart. She advised them instead to gather more men and ensure they had enou

Logan's POV...I was waiting for Simon to come back with a report that Alexa was okay and safe. She was my main source of worry, she and my son, Alvin. I was already headed their way when one of the patrol guards on the west side of the pack house held me, saying that some people had noticed unusual movement in the forest nearby. He said he'd checked it out, and it turns out that at least thirty men were heading their way from the northern direction. I knew a threatening situation when I heard one. As much as I wished it was nothing worth being alarmed over, inside of me, I knew it was dangerous. My instincts have never lied, and I didn't expect them to fail me then. My first action was to call all men around the pack to place and siege and secure all entrances. Then, I called on Simon to go to my Alexa and make sure she and the baby were okay. I could not afford to lose any of them. The only weapon I had on me then was my dagger, which I inherited f

Alexa's POV...I woke up next to Logan, his hands around my waist, his soft breath on my face. I knew that it was his calming presence that nudged me to sleep despite how turbulent my mind was the previous day.I knew Logan was trying everything within his power to protect me from the truth. What he did not know was that I knew all that had happened in the pack and the outcome of the battle. Selena called me that night to check up on me. Although she refused to give me any valuable information concerning the attack, she did, however, promise to provide me with any updates she knew so long as I, too, promised to have a good night's rest and not worry about it.It was hard to keep to my side of the promise, but in my defence, I managed to get two hours of sleep next to Logan. The power of makeup did the rest of the job as I covered my dark under-eye bags and tried to apply some colour to my face without making it obvious. Anyone who knew

Alexa's POV...Since the day that I appeared before the council, my relationship with Logan had become quite strained. The first difference I noticed in him was his not returning to bed on time, and some nights, he did not come to my bedroom. Selena told me not to worry that he would come around. Frankly, I was not worried about his coming around; I was more concerned with how I would prove my innocence to the council and take the pack out of danger. For the past few days, I went back to my training routine. Every morning when I woke up, I dressed up in my training attire and went to ready to go to the open field and train with Selena. There was one thing that the attack had taught me, it was to be prepared at every instance. One minute, we were peaceful and happy, and the next minute, war was coming our way. This taught me to be better prepared for everything that would threaten to come our way; although Logan had told me that he was very capable of

Alexa's POV...For the first twenty seconds, it seemed like all I could do was simply stare at Logan. Not only was I very shocked, but I could feel the uncertainty creeping in. Was this a joke? Was Selena somewhere in the background waiting to jump out and mock me? Was this some prank to ease off the tension created by the attack for the past few days?Logan had once or twice made too good a joke out of me. He might not have been the funniest of persons, but he sure could pull off a good prank.I shook my head involuntarily, wishing he could tell me it was all a prank. But no, there he was, still on his knee, a diamond ring still pointing towards me.Logan must have misinterpreted my silence because the next thing he did was get on his feet, tuck the ring into his back pocket, and then try to hold me. "I know these past few days have been horrible for you, and this is quite possibly the worst time on earth to bring up a topic like this; you know wha
