Selena My father wished us goodnight as the evening drew to a close, his tired eyes displaying the weight of the previous day's conversations. As the nanny took Heaven to her room to get her ready for bed, the old routine took over. When I was left alone with Angel, I felt a mix of excitement and anxiety growing inside of me. This was the second we could at last have an open discussion, liberated from the requirements of past false impressions. The soft light from the lights in the hallway led us to my room as we got there. My heart sped up with each step because I wasn't sure what to expect next. When we got inside, we sat on the edge of my bed, and there was a cloud of unspoken emotions in the air.Angel began, his voice tinged with a mixture of regret and optimism, "I never thought I'd see the day we'd be sitting here like this, Selena." I want to put things right because I've carried the weight of our disagreements for far too long.I looked closely at his face, looking for since

Selena I woke up early, feeling a mixture of excitement and nervousness swirling within me. Today was the day Angel and I were leaving for the Maldives. As I opened my eyes, the first rays of sunlight danced across the room, casting a warm glow that mirrored the feelings in my heart.I got out of bed, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep and embrace the day ahead. I walked over to the window, drawing back the curtains and allowing the soft morning light to flood the room. The sight of the sun-kissed landscape outside filled me with a renewed sense of hope. After a refreshing shower, I stepped into my walk-in closet, contemplating what to wear for the journey. I settled on a flowing sundress in shades of blue, reminiscent of the ocean that awaited us. As I slipped into the dress, I couldn't help but smile, envisioning the picturesque moments Angel and I would share on the sandy shores. As I made my way downstairs, the scent of freshly brewed coffee greeted me, teasing my senses a

Selena My heart raced as I stood frozen on the beach, my eyes fixated on something that had terrified me. The scream that escaped my lips felt as if it had been ripped from the depths of my soul. I couldn't tear my gaze away from the lifeless creature lying on the sand. And then, to my surprise and confusion, Angel burst into laughter. His laughter echoed in the night, mingling with the sound of crashing waves. I looked at him incredulously, unsure of what to make of his reaction."Selena," he chuckled, struggling to compose himself. "It's just a dead fish!"Confusion washed over me, and embarrassment tinged my cheeks with a rosy hue. I had allowed my imagination to run wild, letting fear consume me over something so trivial. I felt a mixture of relief and foolishness.Angel walked over to me, his laughter subsiding as he wrapped his arms around me. "My love, you were overthinking," he said gently, his voice soothing and reassuring. "I'm sorry if my laughter startled you, but it real

Angel "Daddy, I miss you both," Heaven said, her little voice filled with a mixture of longing and excitement. We were on FaceTime. Selena and I exchanged a glance, our hearts melting at the sweetness of our daughter's words."Oh, sweetheart, we miss you too," I replied, my voice filled with affection. "Tell us, how have you been?"Heaven's eyes lit up with enthusiasm as she launched into an animated tale. "Guess what, Daddy? I have a new tutor now, and she's really nice! Her name is Miss Emily, and she helps me with my reading and math. We even played a game with colorful blocks today, and I won!"Selena and I listened attentively, delighting in our daughter's excitement. It warmed our hearts to see her enthusiasm for learning and the joy she found in new experiences."That's fantastic, Heaven!" Selena exclaimed, her voice brimming with pride. "I'm so proud of you. Learning can be so much fun, especially when you have a wonderful tutor like Miss Emily."Heaven nodded eagerly, her e

Selena As the sleek black limousine pulled up to our house in Paris, a sense of tranquility washed over me. The evening had been filled with mixed emotions, and I longed to find solace within the familiar walls of our sanctuary. Angel squeezed my hand reassuringly, his eyes reflecting a calm determination. We stepped out of the car, and a wave of unease washed over me as I noticed a group of men dressed in black suits scattered throughout the property. Their presence seemed ominous, their gazes fixed on Angel with a combination of respect and caution. Something wasn't right.I turned to Angel, my voice barely above a whisper. "Angel, what's happening? Who are these men?"He maintained his composure, his expression unreadable. "Selena, just stay close to me. There are some matters that need to be attended to."My heart pounded in my chest as we walked towards the entrance, the tension in the air thickening with each step. The men in black formed a tight circle around us, their eyes ne
