《Beyond My Mate's Betrayal 》全部章節：第 21 章 - 第 30 章

Gavin's povFuck! We were under attack! "Quick, hide in the safety bunkers!" "But…" "No, Star! If Iris is weak, you can't risk facing a bunch of untamed wolves. You must hide!" A look of determination crossed her face. "I'll take care of the pups and the old, but please, Gavin. Don't tell anyone about my wolf," she said Nodding my head, "yeah, I won't. And take care of the children and the old, I'm going to push them back into the wild."She heaved a breath. "Gavin… please be safe." My stiff shoulders softened. I cupped her cheeks and kissed her lips tenderly."I promise. I'll be careful," I whispered, caressing her soft skin with my thumb. "Now go! Secure every underground bunker." I urgently uttered and rushed out of the door. I raced straight towards the perimeters where several other warriors were sprinting alongside me. We shifted into our wolves on the way, tearing the clothes we were wearing, and raced at full speed. When we arrived, the warriors had lined up. I skidded

Scarlett's pov We arrived at the dungeons before I could tell him anything so we decided to delay the 'talk' and went towards the cells. My dad and two other warriors were already there. In one of the cells one rogue was seated on a chair, his hands cuffed using silver shackles while the other rogue was watching the torture in the adjacent cell. The only piece of thing that covered their nudity was the inefficient piece of cloth tied on their waist. The crook was apparently beaten up. His hair dishevelled and his lips split. There were bruises on his skin which were gradually disappearing right before our eyes. It wasn't surprising. Werewolves were able to heal themselves pretty quickly and rogues were not an exception. The gate was unlocked so we stepped inside. I studied the captive's face, trying to jog my memory. Despite his weary appearance, he looked familiar. I was sure that I had seen that freckled face somewhere. I kept wondering if he was in any way related to Michael beca

Scarlett's povDumbfounded, I stared at him for a long time. Iris' voice was clear although she still sounded vulnerable. Mate? Gavin was my mate? Could she have perceived it wrong? How could I have two mates? Yeah, I rejected Michael, and I believed that the bond was broken. Still, was it possible for me to get a second chance mate so soon? That was unheard of.I found it hard to believe but the tingles that erupted where my hand rested on his chest confirmed Iris' statement. Shocked by the strange tingles and by what my wolf uttered, I gingerly grazed his cheek. As soon as our skin touched, similar tingles erupted. they weren't substantial, but still… Was this what Gavin was talking about? I was his mate? My entire body relaxed. I waited for Iris to repeat it, but she didn't utter a word more. She was completely silent. Deepening the creases on my forehead, "mate?" I whispered. His hazel eyes widened. Tightening his grip on my body, he once again claimed my lips. This time, the k

Scarlett's pov-It is going to be fine, babe. Call me when you're done speaking to him. I'll be there.A little smile curled on my lips as I read a message from Gavin. He was so charming. If only I was mated to him from the beginning… I quickly finished my food, rushed towards my father's office, and knocked on the door. "Come in," he said. I heaved a breath, hoping that my erratic heart would calm down a bit. "Iris, be with me, girl," I whispered under my breath and opened the door. "Dad, you said that you wanted to talk," I told him. He looked up from the papers he was working on and nodded his head. "Yes. We do need to talk, don't we? Sit down, Scarlett." Trying my best to hide my apprehension, I closed the door behind me and sat down. He closed the files and placed both arms on the desk. Leaning forward against it, he looked at me like he was trying to read me. His face was contorted into a deep frown and I knew that I wasn't going to like this conversation at all."Okay, s

Scarlett's pov Couldn't he see that I was just as aroused as he was? I was literally soaking wet in between my legs. I knew what I wanted. No, actually, scratch that. I needed it. I remembered what I experienced with Michael in my past life. Besides, I've heard and read enough about sex to know what to expect. I unclasped my bra and threw it onto the floor, revealing my breasts. They weren't big like those of porn stars. Nonetheless, I was pleased with my B-cup. He went rigid at the sight. I pressed them against his bare chest. I wasn't expecting a sudden shiver to run down my spine as our bodies made contact. My breathing hitched, but still, I stroked my fingers over his firm chest muscles and shoulders, until they brushed over his marking spot. He hissed. The brief change in the colour of his eyes didn't go unnoticed by me. I knew that Akela most probably was on the edge and that was exactly what I wanted. I wanted him to ravish me as he meant it. Slowly, I leaned forward
