Gavin's pov

So that was why she read about the rebirth of a wolf. If she had really gone through all of that, it couldn't be a myth. She avoided my face the entire time she spoke but when she finally did look into my eyes, she went speechless. Her eyebrows knitted together and uncertainty filled her beautiful blue grey eyes.

"Gavin. You've got to trust me… please."

She whispered, pleading with her eyes. I scanned her face. Why wouldn't I trust her? She didn't have any motive to lie. I smiled and nodded my head. She seemed to be so concerned that I wouldn't believe her.

"Of course I trust you. I know it sounds crazy, but it complies with the sudden changes I've been noticing," I told her. "You're my mate. If I can't trust my own soulmate, what am I doing?"

She visibly relaxed and breathed out in relief. "Great. That's a relief."
