Lahat ng Kabanata ng Resisting The Dark Alpha: Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 9

ORAMy pulse hammers with fear as their leader presses forward. His partners are no different. They all have a sticky red substance dripping from their chin. I go completely still.“Wh-who are you? Where’s m-my Dad?”They say nothing, coming closer while I try to edge away.“Is this the prophesied child?” One of them snarls. “The one who would one day single-handedly rule Blood Moon Creek?” Even with fear coursing through my veins, I still feel a little stirring of annoyance at the mockery in his tone.“This dirty little girl is what our King Alpha is so afraid of?”I don’t know why, but I blurt.“I’m nineteen!”“Good for you.” The leader snarls, still pressing closer.I look around frantically, searching for anything I could use as a weapon. My gaze lands on a fallen tree branch and I pick it up, brandishing it before me like a loaded gun.“D-don’t come any closer. What have you d-done with my dad?”The leader’s glowing eyes flash with derision.“You’re issuing threats now? We

ORAFive minutes later, I have completely evaded every attempt by the auction matron to doll me up like the other girls, and she looks close to having a heart attack.I do not want this. I will not make any conscious effort to participate in any of it.Andrea and the rest of the girls, numbering about thirty, all look at me with equal parts fear and horror. Only Penelope wears a knowing smirk. I have no doubt she would love to see me get in trouble.“The master says we have to get you ready in the next ten minutes. You are making the task extremely difficult for us, miss!” The disgruntled matron says, giving me a disgusted stare.I fold my arms and look at the other girls in the dressing room calmly.“Seriously? You all willingly get dressed to be auctioned off to the highest bidder like a bunch of domestic animals? Where is your dignity?”I leap from the dressing stool and the matron gasps in horror. Sorry, Mother Theresa.“Those men out there do not care about you one bit. They all

ORAI should be looking for a way to escape. I should be fighting him, protesting. Instead, when Jake calls the matron to lead me back to the dressing room while the auction continues, I find myself obeying without a word of protest.I guess I’m still in shock over watching him publicly claim me before hundreds of Lycans…over watching him call me his.Ordinarily, if anyone had claimed me like some piece of wood, I would have fought him to death, but it didn’t quite occur to me to step in and inform everyone that I am not their crown prince’s asset, and that scares me half to death. After being utterly pampered, bathed in scented oils and worrying myself half to death about my mother and sister, I have formulated a plan, one that would get me out of Alpha Jake’s clutches and help me locate the rest of my family.I am currently staring at the dress the matron laid out for me, a look of complete disgust on my face. It looks like something out of Barbie and Her Merry Band of Princesses.

ORAAfter Jake almost had me begging him to take me in the backseat of his car with the use of Lycan powers, I made it a point to ignore him. He makes it easier because I am also being ignored.Anger simmering in my veins, I finger the power amulet around my neck, imagining what would happen if I cut it loose and let my powers run free. I would first kill Alpha Jake Anderson with my bare hands. "What did you do with my mother and sister?" I ask as calmly as I can, looking out the window so I do not have to look at him."If you want answers to any of your questions, I suggest you look me in the eye when you ask them." Comes his clipped response. I am so very tempted to tell him to go fuck him self in hell, but I grit my teeth and turn to him, ignoring the pang that arces through my chest at the sight of those eyes."My mother and sister. When do I get to see them?"For a second, he doesn't answer. Instead, those flaming green orbs burn into every inch of my face, causing my cheeks to
