WARNING!! MATURE CONTENT!!Alder’s POVCindy is worried, I know, and I can see it on her face. She was feeling guilty, too, since she thought that her own family was doing these things. I am not afraid for my life. What scares me is the fact that I know that she’s going to suffer if I'm ever gone. I wanted to show her that I was confident and that we would be able to get through all of these threats. I asked them to leave me in my office after our meeting. I wanted to be alone and think.Lorena cares about her the most. All the time that we were discussing everything she knew, she never failed to remind me about her safety. I don’t know, but I feel that she’s really afraid that something might happen to her niece. She said that Cindy might not be a target and would come to me instead since she’s their family. But I cannot let my guard down. I don’t know how vicious they are now compared to my grandmother’s time.I wanted to know more about that incident, so I asked Lorena and chatted w

Third Person’s POVMarked and mated completely. Alder felt himself stronger than he already was, and Cindy was content. She just realized that placing her mark on her mate gives them great power. Now that their bond is complete, they are confident that they will be able to attain their maximum power and potential. Everyone in the palace was rejoicing as they also felt their king and queen’s bond getting stronger. One thing about a Lycan being with its fated mate is that it gave the entire kingdom an unexplainable bind as well. Every pack will become connected to its king and queen.Because of the completion of their bond, the morning in the palace becomes special. The omegas prepared their breakfast intended for everyone. It started with Alder’s grandfather, who found his fated mate, compared it to those who didn't, and noticed that their power increased. That’s why his grandfather made his father promise to wait for his fated mate, which he did, and he grew up with that in mind. That’

Cindy’s POVRoaming around the palace was one thing I liked to do the most. Although there was a threat to me, especially to my mate, I don’t care about that now. He made sure that he was fine, and I believed him. Why? I trust my mother. She’s going to come to me once she finds out something that may lead to hurting me. I actually didn’t understand everything that was happening. I mean, I am Cindy Mills, a billionaire and the daughter of the wealthiest man in the country who happens to have witch's blood. Only he is not because he is a man. On the other hand, my mother was also a witch. A powerful one, I guess, since her ancestor managed to invade the previous queen’s mind and kill her. What I can’t get is the fact that I am in Clover’s body, who was a pure wolf. Only my soul was in her body, so how come I have a witchy aura? Does that aura connect to my soul? Aunt Lorena told me that being a witch runs only with the women in our family. Since I have my mother’s blood, will I be able t

Alder’s POV I had a feeling that Cindy was hiding something from me, but I could see that she was debating with herself whether she would tell me it or not. That’s why I always wanted to be with her since I knew that if I did that, she might be able to open up and tell me whatever it was that was bothering me. The next morning, after she had marked me when we were busy with the celebration, I felt that something was bothering her. It was an instant because I still felt how happy she was, and then suddenly, she became uneasy. Trying to hide my worry was extremely difficult. After we marked each other, we could easily tell how we were with each other without asking. Since I already knew that I could try to hide my emotions, unlike her. She’s new to our kind and how we really are. During my regular meetings with my beta and gamma, as well as the head of the patrol guards, I could feel her being worried and then angry. So, I had to excuse myself after she answered me through our link abo

Third Person’s POV “Can you tell her to come and talk to us?” Alder asked, and Cindy nodded before she went quiet again. The others let her talk to her mother, hoping they would be able to get more information about their enemy. Lorena still had reservations but hoped that everything was real. She didn’t want to disappoint her niece when everything turned out to be a fluke. She was sure that the pain it would give her would be unbearable. She knew how much her niece missed her mother, especially when she remembered nothing about her except for the fact that her dad told her not to get mad at Isabel. They waited until Cindy looked at them. “She can’t right now. She said that, in the meantime, she had to leave to check on something. Once she is sure about that, she will be back and meet us in person.” “Why does she need to leave? What is it that she wanted to check out?” Lorena asked, “Mom said it was important, and she wanted you to look out here while she’s away. What’s there to l

Cindy's POV Mom left after she taught Aunt Lorena how to maintain the barrier. I had no idea about it, and even if my aunt was a strong witch, she never felt it at all. I guess my mother is really good, just like what my aunt said. My worry about everything has started to fade even if Mom confirms how strong our enemies are. I don’t care about that anymore. With her, my aunt, Alder, and our friends and pack members with me, I fear nothing. I believe that we will be able to defeat them since we uphold the core values and the main reason for our existence. The Moon goddess will never let her children suffer at the hands of her own child who went astray. “Lorena, are you sure about this?” Alder asked. We went to see her because mom had told her to be ready. She was worried that after she went after her aunt, they would go back and try to get into the palace territory through their portal. “Yes, I had to eat a lot. What Isabel wanted me to do would drain my energy. Thankfully, I had a

Cindy’s POV Aunt Lorena is really amazing. It has been almost a month since Mom left for the enemy’s turf, but she maintains the barrier. There were no enemy sightings inside the palace territory, which only meant that she was doing a good job. We can’t afford to let them get in using their portal. It will be a disaster since they will just spawn anytime and anywhere they want. We didn’t want that because of every palace member who couldn’t fight, rely on us, and believe in us. It seems to me that the issue with Mom’s ancestors will never end unless Alder’s family is no longer the one on the throne. I don’t know why they were so clingy when they all knew that Mirasol was not Alder’s grandfather’s fated mate. And it was hard to resist the bond. Even when I still had no idea about it, until Alder started calling me his mate and that we were fated mates, I couldn’t totally get rid of him. Always want to see him and always want him to touch me. That’s why I understand the previous king’s

Third Person’s POV “We have to start moving now before they can prepare. There’s no use in trying to get in there through the portal since they managed to make a strong barrier.” Mirasol said, looking at Dan, the Lycan rogue. “We're going in by force?” he asked, and she nodded. “Did you think about it a few times? It’s the palace, and all the strongest and fierce warriors and fighters are there,” he added. “Do you think I am such an idiot not to know about that? Of course, I thought about it, and I am not going to ask you to get ready if I knew that we were going to lose in this war,” she replied angrily. “They had no idea about us yet and were taking advantage of that,” she added. “What if you’re wrong? What if they already knew about us?” Dan asked, “If they already knew about us, they should have raided all our mansions, you idiot! Do you think Alder will let it pass once he knows that the mansion around the palace was actually a hideout of illegal activities? Especially when h

Alder’s POV I hate Cindy’s idea. How can she protect me? It should be the other way around. Her mom, Isabel, told us about Mirasol’s mansions. I was shocked to learn that they have been operating illegal activities for a long time now. How can I be so stupid not to know that? I wanted to raid them all, but Isabel stopped me. She wanted to use that to our advantage. “We can do that after we defeat her,” she said, “How?” Lance asked, “She will be complacent once she notices that we are not raiding all her mansions and will eventually think that we had no idea about it as well,” she answered. “Mirasol will definitely get ahead of herself and will take that as her advantage and think that we have no idea about who we are dealing with or who our enemy is,” Cindy added, “You mean, not attacking any of their mansions will be a bait for them?” Charles asked, and the mother and daughter nodded. “I’m sure that her target will be you, Your Highness. He will try to get into your mind, so

Alder’s POV Mirasol died afterward, and because of the feeling of relief, I hugged my mate. I had no idea why she suddenly told me to teleport her to that witch, but my instinct told me to just follow her. I know I sounded pathetic, but even my beast agreed to let her lead us. That is how much we trust our mate and how much we love her. What’s important is that everything is settled. I never thought that the past was still haunting me until Lorena came. Maybe it was also the reason why the moon goddess decided to let Cindy be reborn in Clover’s persona. I saw Lorena and Isabel kneel down out of tiredness when I looked around. Lance and James started to look after the wounded warriors. I didn't think it was safe for the others to be called out of the bunker, so I didn’t until we cleaned everything out. The warriors and fighters were all tired, but they wanted to make sure of the safety of their families and loved ones as well. The palace doctors and nurses arrived and started to br
