Xander's POV"How was it? Did you and Xevia..." Uncle didn't continue his words, and he only emphasized his point by looking at me mischievously."No, not yet," I replied a little nervously."You suck," Uncle said as he sipped his coffee."I had a lot of work these few days, uncle. So I didn't have time to make love to her," I evaded."This morning, because of him," I pointed at Archer."I didn't even get time to visit Xevia in her room. And I could only tell Mr. Clayton to provide new clothes and food for her.""I also asked Mr. Clayton to turn on a smart TV for her in her room so she wouldn't get bored." I continued."Did you also order snacks for her?" the uncle asked, looking at me with a surprised face.I, who was just about to scoop my cream soup, immediately stopped moving and looked at him, perplexed."Snacks?" I asked back."Yes, snacks. You know, my son, women love snacks, cakes, chocolates, potato chips, or fruits.""Looks like I forgot that part," I muttered as I reached i

Xander's POVThe girl's body lurches forward, but luckily my swift hands catch her-though at the expense of the expensive cell phone I haven't had time to put in my pocket, causing it to fall against the granite beneath my feet.I could see the screen cracking as it hit in a not-so-fun way."Shit!" I screeched in frustration."Arch and Mr. Clayton, please check what's in the bathroom! And you, Calya, come with me to take this woman to the other room!" I ordered. Before I finally carried Xevia's bloodied body to the bed in the next room. And I was forced to sacrifice the expensive suit I was wearing."What a hassle!" I muttered in exasperation."Bro, I knew you wouldn't be able to get mad at her." Calya chuckled. Who thought I was joking?"I'm serious, Calya!""I'm a more serious brother," she said, winking at me while opening the room door for me.I then laid Xevia down on the bed."Open the nightstand drawer. Find some lavender oil or something to make her wake up."Calya opened the

Xevia's POVHe carried me to the room, which was still on the second floor. But with a more 'sweet' design. Pastel-colored curtains and white walls with the ceiling made blue like the daytime sky, and fresh lily flowers were placed on a round table in the center of the room.A sizeable queen-sized bed with silvery white sheets. And a natural-colored marble floor with bold natural lines. Behind a large, curtained glass door, there is a balcony overlooking the mountains and forest."I'm sure you'll feel right at home here," the man said as he lowered me from his arms. I flinched, not responding, staring at him with an annoyed face. Well, actually, not only was I bothered, but I also felt very embarrassed. This was the umpteenth time I felt this kind of embarrassment."Enjoy your punishment, Miss Brielle," he said as he closed the door.I was wide-eyed with shock at the man's quick movements. I got up rather shakily, but I was too late. I didn't expect him to lock me out again. I thought

Xander's POV"Five pregnant women and seven children disappeared overnight." Archer threw the report file with a frustrated look on his face."We can't just stand by, brother. We have to do something."I looked deeply at Archer."Yes I know, Arch.""But we have to plan all this carefully. Because I'm sure they, the demon-worshipping wolves are not alone. They are in groups and have strong backing. I don't want the negligence and immaturity of our plan to result in the loss of our soldiers." I said to quell the anger that was bubbling up inside Archer.I knew he was eager to avenge the evil wolves with angelic faces, but learning from the experience of my late grandfather who had failed because of my uncle's hasty actions; I would not repeat history."Let me do the rescuing." I said again."Let me come with you bro,," Archer sounded pleading."No, Arch. Because tonight I will not use weapons, but I will negotiate with them. Because that's the only way to find out who's behind all the k

Author's POVAfter Xander left, Archer went straight to Xevia, who was in the glass room. Arriving there, he found Xevia sitting sweetly facing a large window from a height that showed a view of the surrounding tall buildings. The sky was cloudless, but the sun had not yet reached its zenith, and its light reflected on the river's water that flowed and split this great city into two halves. It was a beautiful sight."What are you thinking about?" chirped Arch, breaking Xevia's reverie. The woman turned her head and saw her handsome brother-in-law."Arch, since when are you here?""You look pale. Are you okay?" asked Archer."I'm fine," said Xevia while holding back the discomfort in her stomach."Are you sure?" Archer couldn't just believe her words. Because before leaving earlier, his brother had told him everything about what Xevia had done the day before. About her attempt to escape by crossing the artificial lake behind Xander's house.About how she went there alone in an attempt t
