Lahat ng Kabanata ng Owned by the Billionaire Mafia King: Kabanata 301 - Kabanata 310

SaraMy heart was pounding so loud I couldn’t hear anything else. Some part of me was aware that Jaxon was trying to talk to me but it felt like he was far away, and I couldn’t hear anything he said. I couldn’t hear anything but the sped-up, out-of-sync sound of my heart. I almost felt like I could hear and feel the tears in it. It felt like whoever had done this had literally ripped pieces of me away. Everything hurt, and I felt like my body might crumble to ash. I couldn’t understand how I was still standing. Abruptly, I felt my knees buckle. I started to fall to the ground–it seemed a long way away, and the action seemed to be happening in slow motion. Jaxon’s arms around me felt like melting iron. It burned and hurt worse than I felt like the fall would have. "Don’t touch me!" I screamed. My voice sounded cracked and shrill. I didn’t sound like myself at all. Jaxon protested, but I crawled away from him on the floor. I couldn’t see, I couldn’t hear anything, I couldn’t bre

SaraI let out an angered breath. I couldn’t be that surprised that Jaxon had called Antonio and the mafia men as soon as I had left. But it still made me furious. He knew this was why I had left and what I was partly upset about, and yet he still went about things his own way. He looked so relieved to see me and genuine in his hurt and concern. But as he started to move toward me, I backed away. I turned away from him and toward the stairs. I picked up my clutch and my phone, which were on the floor in the hallway, as I moved. I went into my bedroom and back into the bathroom. I locked the door quickly and sat down on the floor, leaning against the cool wall. I was cold, but it still felt nice to be in this safe space. Jaxon knocked softly on the door, and I had a flash of the last time I had been locked away in this bathroom. When I had been with Camilla and Dana. Had Dana been connected to those men who had attacked? She put on one hell of a show acting scared and worried.

SaraIt hurt me to pull away from Jaxon, but I couldn’t give into his affections. Not yet. I was still angry. I wasn’t in a place to deal with that right now. We needed to find the children and then we could work out our issues. He looked pained, but I was happy that he didn’t try to push me. Antonio walked into the room, his eyes sparkling as if he had something new to tell us. "What is it?" Jaxon asked with an alert expression. "We may have a lead," Antonio said, "the warehouse on Main and 5th. I’m not sure exactly what’s been going on but the Vitullo nephew I've told you about has been seen there quite often doing some less than legal activities. This might be one of his smaller bases of operation. My people will keep guard until you arrive. Do you want me to come with you?" I stood up before Jaxon did but let him lead the way out to the garage. "No, please stay here," Jaxon said to Antonio. "It's our base of operation, and some of the men might get in touch with you h

Sara *Missed me* was what the text read, and there was a laughing face emoji. The number was unknown, but I was certain it was this Vitullo man. I wanted to reach through the phone and strangle him. I felt a different sort of painful rage boil inside of me. It felt like a different me or perhaps something completely different that I didn’t know I had in me. The strange entity inside of me took over and clouded my vision. I felt like my blood was bubbling inside of me. I started to shake. I felt like I was going numb, but at the same time, everything hurt. My children were missing. They were taken by some psycho babysitter and an immature jack off looking for a pathetic attempt at revenge. They would be terribly sorry they made such a mistake. I was going to make them pay, and I knew Jaxon would also. I started to almost scare myself with my feelings. This wasn’t like me, but all I could think of was punishing the people who took my children. All I could think of was making th

Jaxon Antonio’s eyes lit up immediately, and I recognized that kind of fiery expression. "Are you absolutely certain?" he asked in a strange tone. My body tensed and I waited anxiously. "Contain him, at whatever cost. Keep him there." He stood up quickly and motioned for Sara and me to follow him. I took her hand and guided her along with me. I held her hand tightly and studied her face. Her cheeks were burning and her eyes were wild. I couldn’t blame her. My heart was pounding along with my head. This could be it and I had to keep it together. Antonio led us back outside and around the alley to where his car was waiting. He was only giving "yes", "no" or "mmph" as a response to the other person on the phone, so I had no idea who he might be talking to or where we were going. I had an idea and I hoped I was right. All I knew for certain was that it was a lead, and my heart was racing. I tried to keep it under control and not get my hopes up. That was easier said than don
