Lahat ng Kabanata ng Owned by the Billionaire Mafia King: Kabanata 291 - Kabanata 300

SaraI was still stuck on bed rest. If I was being honest with myself it felt more like bed jail. I knew that it was for the baby's health, and so of course I agreed to it. What else could I do? But that didn't make it easier, being stuck here all the time, listening to what was going on in other parts of the house. Feeling left out. "You okay, gorgeous?" Jaxon asked me, his handsome brow furrowed in concern. "You look sad tonight. Is everything alright? Are you in pain?" It wasn't as simple as that. I was bored, nervous and aggravated by my situation. But I appreciated the question."No, my love, I'm not in pain," I assured him, sitting up as much as I was allowed to (which wasn't very much). "Not unless you count the pain of boredom, anyway. I hate this. Being stuck here in bed while the world goes on without me. I feel like I'm going crazy!" Going crazy was maybe a stretch, but it was the general idea. Not being able to get things done was incredibly frustrating. I couldn'

JaxonI was certain that most husbands would agree with me when I thought hearing my wife say ‘we need to talk’ wasn’t a good sign. I followed her into the bedroom and sat down on the bed beside her. She sat, rubbing her stomach and looking like she could see through her body and witness the growth of our son."I want you to listen to me and let me get all the way through this before you speak, alright?" she asked, without looking up at me. I cleared my throat and agreed. I wasn’t certain what she was going to say, but I had some ideas. I locked my jaw and prepared myself. "This has been... a rather difficult pregnancy, I think you’ll agree. I’m really trying to do right by him and Camilla. I understand you reached out to Antonio for help when you thought I needed protection. But the one night that I did, they weren’t even there. So I hope you realize it’s not really worth it to dip your toes back into that pool. But one thing I am really certain about is I do not want my son g

JaxonI helped Sara back down to the chair while I ran through the house and grabbed our to-go bag for the hospital. I knocked on Dana’s door frantically and she opened it, looking like she had already been asleep."Sara’s water broke. She’s going into labor. I need you to stay here with Camilla, make sure everything is alright. I’ll keep you updated," I explained. Dana’s eyes widened. "Yes, of course! Of course. Camilla and I will be just fine!" "Thanks!" I disappeared back down the stairs with the bag in hand. I moved to help Sara up and toward the car. It was clear she was still mad and not excited about being near me at the moment. I couldn’t blame her, but I couldn’t focus on that at the moment either. I had to get her to the hospital. I started the engine and tore out of the driveway. I tried to drive as safely as I could while still going quickly. Sporadically, Sara would scream from contractions. I jolted almost every time. By the time we made it to the hospital

Jaxon I was so relieved and overjoyed that Sara was okay and Cameron was healthy that it was hard to focus on anything else. I'd been in firefights that had been less stressful than the birth of my son. I would rather have been unarmed with ten gangsters pointing guns at me than deal with that level of fear again. Seeing Sara in that level of agony had scared the shit out of me. Wondering if my son was going to be okay was hell. Parenthood was more stressful than any mafia-related situation I had ever encountered. And that was saying something."Hey Jaxon, have you seen Teddy around lately?" Jack, my latest IT hire asked me. Jack was probably about twenty two years old, but he looked like a kid playing dress-up in his long-sleeved dress shirt and ironed jeans. What the fuck was going on with the age of my current employees? "He's so awesome, I wanted to ask him if he wanted to join our fantasy football league!" Fantasy football. Jack seemed like a good kid, and he clearly ha

SaraI was surprised when I pulled out my old yoga pants that I was able to pull them over my butt. It had been a while since I’d been able to fit into any of my skinnier clothes, especially work out clothes. It helped a lot going to the gym regularly with Lauren. I was up around the same time as Jaxon and tying my hair in a ponytail. "Off to the gym?" he asked, already knowing the answer. I nodded. He grabbed me by the waist and pulled me to him. He lowered his hands and squeezed my ass. "You are so sexy, baby," he whispered as he leaned in to kiss me. I melted a little. Jaxon always knew the right time and the right words to help remove my insecurities. I was grateful for that. I headed down stairs where Camilla and Cameron were making huge messes with their yogurt and were throwing grapes around the kitchen. "Oh Dana! I’m so sorry!" I exclaimed, looking at her struggle. "It’s okay. Nothing I can’t handle or clean." I took a grape from Camilla’s hand and looked at he
