Audrey hurriedly pulled away from the kiss and stood up, she moved away from him and Derek wondered if he did something wrong.“Hey, babe.” He called and stood up.“Stay away from me.” She snapped as he was about to move closer to her, guilt was eating her up and she felt like she was losing her mind. She can't be like this with Derek, not even after what Damien did for her and her family.Even though he abandoned her already, at least he gave her a good life, staying away from Derek is all he ever wanted from her and that is what she would do.“Audrey, what... ““You need to leave Derek.” She cut him off and turned to him maintaining a stern look, he stared at her for a few seconds before chuckling.“You are kicking me out? You don't even want me to leave.” He said and moved closer to her but she moved away.“Can you please just go? I don't want to see you anymore.” She said trying her best to not fall for his charms again.“Why? Is it because of Damien?” He scoffed and Audrey sighed

Damien stood up and walked away leaving her in shock, Audrey trembled in fear and Clyde sighed, she realized her mother already ended the call and she dropped the phone.Tears streamed down her eyes and she whimpered, someone died because of her, an innocent person died because of her.“He warned you though.” Clyde shrugged as he continued with his meal.Audrey didn't say a word, all she did was cry, she started to cry out loud and Clyde rolled his eyes.“Will you stop that?” Clyde snapped at her and she flinched, she looked at him surprised and he huffed.“Look, I like you and all but you are starting to mess up. You have just one thing to do, stay away from Derek but anytime he comes back to you, you end yo kissing him. Do you think Damien doesn't know? The night of the theft too?” Clyde asked and her eyes widen in shock. “Yes, he knows. Stop being this way, Damiem likes you so much, don't ruin it because you can't control yourself, you are so lucky you pulled away from him and cha

“What? I don't want to die!” She yelled as she drove.“Then keep driving and try to keep your head down.” “Damien, I’m scared.”“You shouldn't be, this is normal.” He replied Damien corked the gun, he pressed a button in the car and the rooftop opened.“Why are you opening the roof? They are going to kill us faster.” Audrey yelled as Damien got in the back seat.“Yes but just keep your head down a bit.” Damien replied and shot at the van, he shot their tyres and the van hit a streetlight. “Okay, the van is down, it's just... “ Damien trailed off and groaned in pain as a bullet hit his arm, Audrey screamed as he lay on the seat and they shot at them. She drove faster and Damien sat up.“Are you okay?” “Yes, I’m okay.” Damien replied and turned to the two cars left, he shot at them and they also shot back, luckily they missed this time. He shot the headlights of one of the cars and it suddenly flipped, Audrey screamed in fear as she watched the car flip through the mirror.“It's jus

Chapter 68“Audrey.”“This is why you told me to step out that day at the hospital right? You live on pills?” She asked and Damien breathed out.“I don't want to talk about this, can we just go back to having lunch?”“You don't always want to talk about anything, when will you finally want to talk about it?”“It's nothing, can we just go back to... ““Damien.”“Stop it, Audrey!” He yelled at her and she flinched.“Just stop it, you are driving me crazy.” He sighed and ran his hands through his hair, he looked at his pills on the floor and bent to pick them, Audrey felt bad she threw them at him but she was just so furious and disappointed he didn't tell her about it.Most of the pills are for insomnia and traumatic experiences, she wonders what he went through. She slowly walked to him and bent to help him, she was about to pick it but he held her hand.“It's fine, just leave.” “Damien, I’m sorry.”“Please.” He added and she stood up, she walked out of the room and Damien groaned an

“No freaking way.” Damien replied and shook his head.“Come on, think about it. He will be perfect for this job.” “What exactly do you need him to do?” Chloe asked.“Right here in front of this wall, there would be a huge security system and it will be heavily guarded by guards.” Clyde explained tapping the spot on the blueprints.“Following.” Chloe urged him to go on.“When is the museum having its next auction?”“Tomorrow night.”“Luckily for us, it's at night. We need someone in the control system of the museum and you know Derek is good at this, he will cause a blackout while Audrey is with the owner of the painting, Chloe will be a normal guest at the auction, and we have sixty seconds to go in and out. I and Damien go in when Derek hacks the system, we get the painting, move out back while there is still black out and that is it, so simple.” Clyde explained and Audrey rolled her eyes.“You are forgetting something though, the guard will guide the vault if there is a blackout.”
