That our child is dead. Alton's POVI sat on the sand while watching the sunrise.I am still carrying the guilt that I felt earlier when I saw my son slowly losing his breath.I feel lost.I have no idea what I should do. I want to be near my son. I want to wrap him in my arms but I am afraid that if I do that he might get mad and cry. He might end up in that situation again and I don't want to witness that. It was such torture watching my son lose his breath because of me.While I am peacefully sitting at the shore I felt someone's presence and upon turning my head I saw Arthur. He smiled at me so I smiled back. After that, he turned his head on the vast sea and I did the same."Atlas is a good kid," he started.I looked at him but his eyes is fixated on the sea."I can see that," I responded.Arthur turned his head on me and then stared at my face intently."You are his father, right?" he asked. Solana's POVA week passed, and Atlas was gradually opening up to his father, Alton. It warmed my heart to witness their bond strengthening with each passing day. Finally, after a week of hard work, my store was completed, and I could proudly open its doors. Mary, kind-hearted as ever, volunteered to look after Atlas while I was in town selling clothes. Her help brought me great relief, knowing that Atlas would be cared for in my absence.Everything had been going smoothly for the past week, and I believed that things would continue to go well. However, my hopes were shattered when an unexpected visitor barged into my store. A woman, about the same age as my mother, stepped inside, her gaze fixed intensely upon me.Approaching her, I inquired politely, "Yes, ma'am, how can I assist you?"To my shock, her hand swiftly met my face with a resounding slap. The sting of the impact reverberated through me. Anger dripped from her words as she confronted me, "Isn't it enough that your mother

Solana's POVI woke up to find myself alone in bed, without Alton by my side. Stretching my limbs, I made my way to the kitchen, where I found him cooking breakfast. His face lit up with a smile as soon as he saw me."Good morning," he greeted warmly.Returning his smile, I walked over to him and stole a glimpse of what he was preparing."You should have woken me up. I should be the one cooking breakfast," I said."It's fine. I used to cook for you, remember?" he replied, bringing back fond memories of the times he stayed at my place, taking care of me.A little while later, Atlas, still in his pyjamas and rubbing his eyes, stumbled into the kitchen."Good morning, Love," I greeted, pulling him into a tight hug and planting a kiss on his cheek."Good morning, buddy," Alton greeted with a smile."Good morning Mommy. Good morning Daddy," he greeted back then climbed onto his chair. I helped him to ensure he won't fall.Once Alton finished cooking, he served the food on the table, and we

Solana's POVAlton spent the night at my house, as he usually does. Our typical routine involves playing with Atlas after dinner and then tucking him into bed. Once Atlas is asleep, we head to my room. Feeling sticky, I decided to take a quick shower. When I finished, I stepped out of the bathroom.Meanwhile, Alton also took a quick shower. As he emerged from the bathroom, a towel hung loosely around his waist. I immediately averted my gaze, feeling my cheeks flush. However, I pretended like nothing had happened and lay on the bed, covering myself with a blanket. Soon, I felt the other side of the bed sink, indicating that Alton had occupied it.After a while, I felt his arms wrap around my waist as he pulled me closer to his body. Alton buried his face in my neck, and I couldn't help but ask, "Are you okay?" He nodded and planted a soft kiss on my shoulder, his voice carrying a sense of heaviness."Is it about your mother?" I cautiously inquired, aware of his emotional burden. Alto
