LucasToday was indeed a great day, I love every part of it. She gave me the feelings I have never expected, perhaps because she had shown signs of happiness first. That was what I always wanted, to make her feel like the queen she’s. I had waited in the sitting room for her. I started wondering what could make her stay for that long. I didn’t want to think about the bad things that could happen to her there. I wouldn’t forgive myself if anything happened to her. I rose from my seat and headed to the kitchen. I couldn’t believe my eyes, she was making a meal for me. I stood there and listened to their conversation without their notice. I saw her reaction when Caroline told her I made the toasted bread she enjoyed that morning. Her face was like, “If I’d known, I wouldn’t have eaten, but I have eaten anyway.” I watch as she wiggles on that loose cloth. I imagine myself hugging her tight, pressing myself hard on her, kissing her, fondling her, still, she begged me to continue. I wanted

She was already in her seat when I came, she smiled immediately she spotted me and stood up from her seat. She wore a purple color short gown, and the lipstick matched the color of her gown. The dangling necklace around her necklace promotes her elegance more. “Take a seat Helen, I am so happy to meet with you today,” she said pointing at an empty seat in front of her desk. “Thank you, ma’am,” I said before I sank into the seat. She continued looking at me and smiling like someone who was proud of what she chooses. She sat gracefully on her seat and curl up her legs. She brought out a document from her drawer and placed it on the table. I glanced at it, but it was too far for me to denote what was written inside. “You see, Helen, I like you. I have heard good and bad things about you, but I decided to take the good ones because your bad side does not affect me in any way.” she chuckled and continued. “Your hard work has finally paid off, and I am pleased to announce to you the be

Lucas I was behind the door all this while listening, the words of advice that came out from her mum were pleasing to my ears. I was extremely busy today, attending meetings, supervising work, replying to important emails, etc. I was restless until when the thing was done and the office calm a bit. Mr. Philip and I were working on a project that will be sent to one of our companies in France the following morning when I remember that I haven’t called her since morning. I picked up my phone and dialed her number, but she was not taking calls. I dialed the number twice, yet she didn’t take her calls. I ordered Mr. Philip to track her and from the tracker she was still in the agency. I wondered what have kept away from her phone for that long. To be sure she was safe, I had to push aside all I was doing at that time and head to the agency. It was almost dark and people were going in and out of the agency. After waiting for some time, I asked Mr. Philip to check the tracker to see if sh

Lucas When she mentioned Catherine, though I was shocked she called her my fiancée, I knew that she must have said that to still place herself in a higher position. The dots started to connect, I understood everything now. I understood why she had refused to pick up my calls, nor reply to my message, why she sneaked out from the agency, avoiding me. She must have spoken to Catherine today. A strong anger rushed through my system. I imagine what she had told her, with the number of words she said in a minute I bet she doesn’t even remember she had told Helen such a thing. I decided to remain quiet, but it hurts me more when she cried. I must do something to make her feel better, to make sure that she has the same happiness she had in the morning. She didn’t stop asking questions at a point I couldn’t handle it any longer. I clarified to her. “I am not Catherine's fiancée and I will never be, I don’t have any intention of dismissing you before the contract expires. That’s why I mad

“Is that how to treat a client? Why are you laughing in front of a client? Is that what you came here to do? What does she want” “I’m sorry ma’am, the lady came and requested to see Mr. Lucas, she claims to be his wife” I turned to see who she was talking to, she jerked at once and her eyes wide open. “Good afternoon, Mrs. Dowell, I am sorry to keep you waiting, Ma’am. Please come this way” I turned to the receptionist, and she was already crying and packing her stuff. “I’m sorry about her attitude ma’am, I will handle her ma’am with your permission” I didn’t know what to say to her. I kept mute, the anger and embarrassment the receptionist gave me had slowly been replaced by shyness. Everyone was still in awe at the reception hall. Some started to murmur and pointed at me. I overheard one of the staff say. “I remember her now, I saw her picture on the day of their marriage.” I didn't say a word again, I turned and followed the lady. On our way, she introduced herself as Diana
