“Police, arrest that man! You saw the way he came to my house and assaulted me!” Marde whined, wincing in pain. One of the policemen flashed him his badge. “Mardisone Dick, you are under arrest for the kidnapping and raping of Rosianna Bells. For attempted murder also, and for possession of an illegal drug. You are advised to remain silent, for anything you say will be used against you in a court of law.”Marde's eyes widened in panic and horror. “No, no, no! I can't go to jail!” he shrieked.I cut in. “Of course, you can go to jail. You'll be deported back to the States, and You are going to jail. Trust me Mardisone, you'll be getting nothing short of a life sentence and hard labor.” I walked closer to stand in his face. “I'll make sure you and Jason get that sentence even though it's a jail sentence for first-degree murder.”Marde's eyes widened as I spat the furious words at him, and then he started crying and pleading with me.It was all working according to plan. I continued. “I

SANTOSI was right about one thing. Staring at Jason was like staring at the devil himself. As I watched him close the door and walk deeper into the house, I didn't hide the disdain in my eyes. I definitely didn't hide the rage I was feeling.“So, what are you doing here, San-man?” he asked as he headed towards the fridge.I gave him credit. He didn’t look scared or ridden with guilt like Marde. A pro criminal. “Oh, but I think you know why I'm here, Jason. Let's cut to the chase, shall we? By the way, you still look as good as ever.”“You don't look so bad yourself.” The bastard was even smiling. “Long time so see.”“Yeah. After you called me on the phone that night several years ago, I guess I lost touch with everything. No man wants to hear that his best friend slept with his woman.”He shook his head at that, even managed to look miserable. “I'm really sorry about everything. I'm also at fault. I should have resisted her allure. It’s just that Rosy has always been a very sexy man.

I spent all night with Jason. Watching him scream. Curse. Plead. Watching his own drug torture him. During some part of the night, I started feeling pity for him, but just as soon as the feeling lit up, Rosy's face in crisis came clear to my mind. The fire of pity quenched as soon as it started. At first, he'd kept screaming for a woman to fuck, thinking I was gonna give him one. That wasn't the way the plan was supposed to work. I told him about the recorders I came with and that he'd make a record of confessing everything he did. The best kind of evidence was a confession that comes straight out of the mouth of the culprit.“Screw you!” he'd shouted those first times, refusing to do it.I expected it. I had nothing else to do, so I just waited him out.As the night lengthened, he went from screaming and cussing, to begging and pleading. His hands were tied behind his back so he couldn't jack off. He fucked thin air repeatedly, but he couldn't get relief. His hips were thrusting up

In those two weeks, I had righted the wrong that was done to Rosianna. My adoptive sister. My friend. My fiancé.My woman. It made me feel peace. A peace that would have been complete of Rosy was awake. If Rosy's condition was getting any better. Two months later, I stood in the doctor's office, refusing to sit. I dreaded that I had an idea what he wanted to say to me, and I had a gut feeling that it was not something I wanted to hear.So I folded my arms and stood across the wall, leaning against it. I narrowed my eyes in irritation and watched the older doctor as he swallowed nervously as if contemplating how to go about what he had to say.He began. “I think you should start preparing yourself both mind and body—”“Don't fucking say it, doctor,” I cut in.“—that Rosy might never wake again.” “I told you not to fucking say it!” I roared angrily. The doctor grimaced sadly. “Look, son...”“I'm not your damn son!” I could hardly breathe against the tightening of my chest.Yes, these p

I swallowed twice and turned back to face them. I stared at Jason’s parents. Marde’s parents. Kain’s parents. They’d visited so many times during the months, and they’d asked forgiveness many times. The mothers cried often, and the fathers always looked regretful. I’d repeatedly told them the same thing: “It wasn’t their fault what happened. There is nothing to forgive because the sins weren’t theirs. They are not responsible for the actions of their children.”My only happiness as I looked at them was that they have other children apart from the prodigal sons. Jason’s parents still have one daughter who’s married already. Marde has two more siblings, a brother and a sister. Kain’s parents had one other man who was Kain’s younger brother.I smiled at them and took turns hugging them all and thanking them for coming to my wedding ceremony. They all looked relieved, and it made me wonder about the kind of welcome they had expected to receive.I really had no problem with them. Already,
