STEFAN’S POV.I was in my car, staring outside, although, the window was shut tight.“Sir, I have successfully cancelled your appointments, today.” My secretary said.“Alright. Turn on the music, but I need it on a low volume.” I instructed as I didn’t take my gaze off the window.~Flashback~I was annoyed with the way Melissa treated me, and if she didn’t want me to treat her like she is special to me, anymore, then so be it. I was going to show her how empty she was going to feel, when I stop indulging myself in her life. Then I thought of a way to start doing that. An obvious way to make her heart pinch at her, to let her know that she has done wrong for lashing out at me.Also, I needed to take a break from the hurt my heart went through and I needed a vacation, to settle things and set my head straight. Then an idea sprang up. I stood up and went straight to Team A’s office. When I got there, I stole a glance at Melissa who was working. I didn’t know that I would feel less deter

MELISSA’S POV.It was evening already and I could hear the crickets and all other tiny creatures whose sound were loud enough to hear. “So, Melissa, what was with the cold formality you gave Mr. Stefan? Did something happen between you two?” Layla asked, out of curiosity.I sighed. “There is absolutely nothing wrong. I am doing just the right thing.”“Yeah, you are. Except for the fact that you are being cold.” Layla rolled her eyes.“Don’t try to make me feel like I am the bad man, here.” I said, sharply.“Well, you are. He has been a nice boss to you. Saved you from possible death and helped you many times. You even modelled for a great company. All these were possible, because of him.”“And I never begged him to do that, Layla. I want to earn my recognition and my money, because of my hard work and talent. Not because there is someone influencing that to come my way. I want to stop owing him favors, okay!”“Look. In this life, we all need connections. I mean, big people who will

MELISSA’S POV.I stood up as my hair was moving in the rhythm of the merciless wind.“What’s going on?” I muttered under my breath as I tried to shield my face, from being a victim of any sharp object.Suddenly, everything went calm, but it was still dark and cold. I could feel that there was something different about the atmosphere. It felt as if I wasn’t alone, right where I was.Was one of my nightmares coming to a reality? I wouldn’t be able to bear that. Why did I come over here? Suddenly, I could see animal-like figures coming out of the mist that was disappearing as each moment passed by. And to my horror, they were wolves. I wanted to run, but I was surrounded by them all and they were certainly up to twelve, with different eye colors. Then they began to howl loudly and it got me frightened. Were they calling the other wolves? Was I more than enough for the twelve of them? I was beyond terrified. I had never seen anything like it before. The sight of twelve huge wolves surro

MELISSA’S POV.I struggled as I was tied to a pole in an unknown forest. My two hands were hurting as they were tied apart. What exactly did I do to deserve this?“Look, I have told you. I am not Jana!” I shouted in tears.Being mistaken for Jana had brought many weird things into my life and one of them was Stefan. He seemed to me like a pervert the first time he tried to come close to me and seeing that he was nice to me and all, could it still be that he thought I was Jana or because I just looked like her.“You don’t tell me who or what you are.” Their Alpha said as he walked around me.Then he moved closer to me and sniffed my neck and my ears, then he raised his hand, with his claws, out and he was about to strike me.“No, please don’t.” I pleaded in tears.Just before he could strike, a commotion broke out. Then I looked around at what was happening. It was Stefan, killing them all. Then he dragged the Alpha.“Who sent you!” Stefan growled out loud. The Alpha laughed. “Isn’t i

STEFAN’S POV.The next day, I woke up feeling heavy at heart and I couldn’t bring myself to face Melissa at work, because there was a chance that we were going to bump into each other at work. I went to the bathroom to have my bath to get ready for today. The way the water drizzled on my body, released my tensed bones, although, not completely. As I was done bathing, I sat on my bed, not wanting to go to work.“Gosh. I need a break from all these.” I muttered under my breath, then an idea popped up.It was time I went for the business trip I had been pushing away for years. Kim Mike was going to be glad that I would finally meet up with him for business. Then I put a call through to my secretary.“Schedule a meeting with Kim Mike. I am going to meet him, tomorrow. And for now, let’s get ready to travel to his country.”“Al…alright boss.”He must have been shocked that I had finally agreed. Although, I would have sent an invitation over to Kim Mike, but I wanted to take my ass out as

STEFAN’S POV.I immediately took my robe and put it on and gave her an expression that showed I was annoyed.“How would you barge into my room, without knocking?” I said, trying to tone down on my frustration. Then the fear on her face, came back on and she rushed closer to me.“I’m…I’m sorry, but someone is after my life. He picked me to be his slut for tonight, for an amount, but I couldn’t do it with him anymore when I saw how huge his d**k was and now he wants to force me and he threatened that when he gets me, he was going to make me regret for running at first, before he forces me to have sex with him.” She said, with tears running down her cheeks. She was an American whore, for money. I would have sent her out, because I was not the right person to settle matters like this, but before I could, the man barged in, looking fierce. He was huge and muscular and he was Korean.“Jigeum yeogilo wa! (Come here, right now!)” The man shouted at her, in annoyance.Thank goodness I underst

STEFAN’S POV.My secretary looked shocked, and I knew that he was already reasoning it, that I was the one who killed the man. I knew that if I didn’t act on time, he was going to run, and I wasn’t in the mood for that.I moved as fast as one can bat an eye, then i compelled him. It has been a while, since I used my powers this much. I had carried the huge man, and ran out as fast as I could to bury him, and then cleaned up the hotel room, before I went to bad. Melissa was having both good and bad impact, on me.Then I went to bed, to be away from reality, for a few hours. “I said, let me be! I will never be your Luna.” Melissa shouted, with seriousness, in her expression. It broke my heart and hurt me deeply, that it felt as if I couldn’t breathe, anymore. Then I jerked up, with sweat beads on my face. It was a dream. A dream, reminding me of what had happened in reality.I got up from bed, and got ready for the order of the day. I had a meeting with Kim Mike, and I must say, I was

STEFAN’S POV.My eyes widened in shock as I heard that Melissa slipped into coma. How on earth did it happen? If she had an accident, Layla would have said so. It was better I get there to understand the situation. Then I called my secretary, on the phone for him to come over, and I started packing up the little things I had until he came into my hotel room.“Book a flight. We are leaving, first thing, tomorrow, morning.” I said as I looked around to be certain that I had packed up everything.“Sir, what about Kim Mike?” He asked, out of worry.“Send him a message that an emergency came up. And it would be nice, if we continue any meeting, left, here, in New York.” “Alright sir.” My secretary said, then left the room.I was so restless, and it was hard for me to sleep, anymore. I didn’t know what to do anymore, now that I was aware that Melissa had slipped into a coma. Although, it was weird, but thankfully, Layla was certainly with her, so I would know what happened.I stayed on my

MELISSA’S POV.I found myself in a beautiful garden, more beautiful than the one I saw at the end of the cave, back there. There was certainly no end to more beautiful gardens, since I kept seeing a more beautiful one, each time I got into strange places.I couldn’t help, but marvel at the breathtaking view before me. The vibrant colors of the flowers dazzled me in a way that I had never experienced before, and the soft scent of the blooming blossoms enveloped me in their gentle aroma. I breathed in the fresh air deeply, amazed by the beauty that surrounded me. Butterflies flitted and floated on the summer breeze, and bees buzzed contentedly around their favorite flowers. The garden seemed endless, with a sea of green grass and beautiful flowers of every color imaginable. I saw roses with petals of vivid red and pink, lilies of pure white, marigolds with their petals of bold orange and sunflowers that spanned high above me. Each flower was unique, different in shape, color, and size,

MELISSA'S POV.Thankfully I managed to hide that one thing from her and was able to get rid of it while I was discharged. We got home safely, and I was expecting her to go back home as soon as we got to my doorstep, but she stood firmly."I think you need to rest now, Layla." I said, looking at her with concern. She had tried so much for me and I was grateful for this. it was hard to see a friend who would stand by you, the way she did."I can have my rest with you. Since when did it seem like I do not have my rest when we come here?" She asked as she placed her right hand on her waist. "Well, I mean... I am certain you are coming here to watch me, when I am clearly fine.""Clearly fine, my foot." She said as she walked into the house and held the door. "Won't you come in?"I sighed. I knew how stubborn she was, and it was better to just do her will than continue to talk about it when it's still her will that would be done."Don't worry. Just this night. I need to be sure that you a
