CH. 1: Given as a Slave
“You can’t go in there, Princess.” The guard said.I tilted my head to the side and took another look at him. Salib had dark eyes, broad shoulders, and a charred face. He had been a guard to the royal court ever since I was a young werewolf princess roaming these walls. Now, I was the princess with the heart of a warrior.“Open the damn door, Salib,” I said. I still reserved respect for him from the many times he had saved me in the woods while growing up. Saliba stalled. Father must have warned him not to let me in. “But I need to go in, Salib,” I said.“Princess, the Beta of Devilclaw clan is here with half a dozen men to see your father.”I seethed. “You mean, come to get the monthly tribute for their alpha, Draco.”A few moons ago, my father had lost a duel with Draco Devilclaw. Now my clan was subjected to monthly tribute to the Devilclaw clan. We have been reduced to rubble, and Father would not fight back.“I know that, Salib," I said. “Why do you think I want to go in?”“But

CH. 2: Draco
I stood outside the Devilclaw Castle, feeling a mix of fear and anger. My father, the disgraced Alpha of the Talon pack, had brought me here against my will, as a tribute bride to the Alpha of the Devilclaw clan. He hoped to restore his honor and gain an ally in the powerful Devilclaw clan, but I didn't want to be here. I wanted to be back home in the forests and mountains of my pack, where I had grown up running wild and free with my pack mates. I was stubborn and didn't like the idea of being a pawn in the game of power between two clans. As I stepped through the massive wooden doors, I was met by a group of guards dressed in black armor. Their faces were obscured by helmets, but I could feel their eyes on me, watching my every move. I wondered what they thought of me, this outsider who had been forced into their world. Logan had left me with the guards, smirking as I gave up struggling and walked quietly. My father was royalty, but here I was, answering to mere omegas.Captai

CH. 3: Battlefront
For a moment, I panicked, wondering where Draco had gone. Had something happened to him? Had he been killed in kidnapped? I relaxed. I shouldn't care what happened to him anyway. He kept my people under his thumb.I quickly got dressed and made my way to the door, intent on finding out what was going on. But the guards stationed outside stopped me in my tracks. "Where is Draco?" I demanded, my voice sharp. "What's happened?" The guards looked at each other warily, as if they weren't sure what to say. Finally, one of them spoke up. "The Alpha has gone to battle, my lady. He left early this morning with his troops." My heart sank at the news. I didn't know what to make of it. Was he fighting against my pack? Was he trying to prove his strength as a leader? I couldn't bear the thought of him being hurt or killed, but I also knew that I couldn't stay here and do nothing. I turned to the guards, trying to muster up some kind of authority. "I need to go to the battlefront," I said, my

4. In Hiding
I crouched in the cramped hiding spot, my heart pounding in my chest. The room was dark and damp, the walls covered in moss and mildew. The only light came from a small crack in the wall, and I could see the shadows of footsteps passing by outside. My body shook with fear as I listened to the hushed whispers of Logan and Fanny. They were talking about killing someone, and the name "Draco" kept coming up. Their voices were low and urgent, and I strained to hear every word.Logan was wearing a black leather jacket, ripped jeans, and heavy boots. His face was scruffy, and his eyes gleamed with malice. Fanny was dressed in a long, flowing gown, her hair swept up in an elegant bun. She wore a necklace made of black onyx, and her eyes darted around the room as she spoke.I could feel my breathing becoming faster and more shallow as I tried to keep quiet. My hands were clammy with sweat, and my body felt like it was on fire. I knew I had to warn Draco, but I couldn't move, couldn't make a soun
