After the whole little bounding they had, Nathan finally returned back to work but not before Talia almost murdered him for not keeping in touch with her and almost worrying her to death. Nathan had apologized and had promised her that he would visit her granny that weekend. The weekend was finally here, they hadn’t found the answer to the riddle Mrs. Jessica Lopez gave them and Brixlee had decided that she would do the fashion show for Xavier in exchange for the answer. She hadn’t told anyone about it, neither Nathan nor Tyler but she couldn’t resist telling Amerie. They had gotten really close and she really liked how accommodating she was. That Saturday, Nathan left work early because he had plans. He had promised to visit Talia’s granny and he was bent on doing so. He had given up all hope with finding an answer to Jessica Lopez’s stupid riddle. He was going to find new investors. Nathan zoomed his sleek black car up the long, winding driveway of Talia's family mansi

Brixlee Cyrup opened her eyes to see the bright sun shining through the large window. She got into a sitting position and yawned. She scanned her eyes around the room, trying to recollected the whole incident that happened last night and soon, memories from last night flooded her brain. She remembered how Nathan cared for her last night when she fell ill and she was grateful. Soon, she found herself smiling, thinking she was lucky to have such a boss like Nathan Grey. She slowly got on her feet, she was feeling a lot better although she still felt a little dizzy. She made her way out of the room and as soon as she stepped out, she could hear voices from downstairs, as if someone was yelling. With her palm still on her forehead, she slowly walked down the stairs and soon Nathan was in view.It looked like he was in a heated argued with a lady she somehow thought looked familiar. And as soon as Nathan saw Brixlee, he ran to her and helped her down the stairs. Brixlee was staring at the

Next day… Brixlee stood at the entrance of her apartment after locking the door, patiently waiting for her boss. She was dressed in a blue jean and a light blue top. She had little makeup on and her hair was parked in a messy bun. She stood stiIl, waiting for her boss’s car to pull up. He had called her a while ago that he was on his way to pick her up. They were going to visit Mrs Jessica Lopez at her residence to sign the contract. As she stood still, she couldn’t help but wonder about what Amerie had told her last night. She shrieked at the thought that Amerie haboured such feeling about her. The sight of Amerie’s room when she had visited her last night and the framed photos of her on every wall kept replaying in her head, each time with a creepy turn. Once again, she felt her insides tighten on the spot as she heard the honking of a car. Turns out, the car had been honking for long and she had been so lost in her thoughts that she hadn’t heard it until now. She took a deep br

Days had gone by and Nathan had gotten better with Brixlee by his side to offer her support. A week later he was back at the office and business was running smoothly again. Tyler on the other hand had been going to countless of dates just to find the one and unfortunately, he hasn’t. Brixlee had teased him a couple of times and he had finally given up on finding himself a girlfriend.Nathan stood in his office, the city skyline stretching out beyond the glass walls. Brixlee hovered near his desk, a stack of papers in her hands. He cleared his throat, catching her attention. "Brixlee, I have some news," he said, a tinge of excitement in his voice. "We've been selected to attend the business conference in New York this weekend." Brixlee's eyes widened with surprise, her lips curling into a smile. "New York? That's amazing, Mr Grey! I've always wanted to visit the city." Nathan nodded, his excitement mirrored in his eyes. "I thought it would be a great opportunity for us to expand

Nathan couldn’t get enough of the view, as he held his breath trying to contain his desire. Fortunately, a voice from outside interrupted his thoughts.“The door is jammed, we’ll need to call a repair man. We’re sorry for the inconvenience, please bear with us for the time being” One of the staffs said from the outside.Brixlee frowned, she already felt awkward at the thought of staying in the same room with Nathan. She got on her feet and walked into the closet to change. About a few minutes later, she was out in her long silk night dress, surprisingly, Nathan was still standing at the door.Brixlee smirked.” Mr Grey, you heard what the hotel staff said, it’s going to take a while so why not have a seat?”Nathan reluctantly took his seat on a couch at the edge of the room while Brixlee sat at the other end on her bed scrolling through her phone. For about an hour, none said a word to the other even though they both knew the awkwardness lingered.... Talia sat on the edge of the
