LUCAS watched Maxine’s hand intently. This was the second time he felt this way. He shook his head and looked back at Maxine. He didn’t know what was happening, but his body reacted strongly whenever their hands touched. He hadn’t even thought about what he had said earlier.“I’ll take you home after your class,” he said.
