“Im sorry, i haven't introduced myself properly, i'm stella's boyfriend and my name is lawrence. She had an accident recently and hit her head really badly. I really apologize for her actions.” he said."Boyfriend? Is that why you got cocky all if a sudden?" Tina paused."Sweetheart calm down. She looks a little different, maybe we could get some information from this boyfriend guy," Carl held her hand and gave it soft strokes before she sat down. But while doing that, his eyes were glaring daggers at me.I couldn't help the disgusted face I made before mouthing, "you're ugly," at him and he visibly recoiled in shock. "You eventually got yourself a boyfriend uhn? Stella the Virgin?" Her father said as he looked at me and tried to maintaining eyecontact and when he finally did, he smirked. I furrowed my eyebrows. "Is everyone in your family weird bestie?" I blurted out, because it didn't make any moral sense for her father to ask that type of question. "Or was I close to that man? H

Lawrence's POV"Did you really have to go that far just to leave the house?" I asked as we waited in the VIP room of one of the chain restaurants I owned. "Hmm," she scoffed and folded her hands, "I told you but you wouldn't listen in the first place," she said stubbornly as her stomach growled. After her sudden outburst, her best friend had had enough and asked her to leave saying she was welcome anytime. But even a child could feel and hear the sarcasm in her tone. The family was oddly at peace despite their recent loss and they seemed to be recovering too fast which had gotten on Stella's nerves. I glanced at her again as she kept the stubborn look on, but the slight furrow of her eyebrows had me concerned, however, she told me all was well all times I asked her what was wrong or whether she had recovered her memories. It was an hassle I wanted to have dealt with immediately, although her hungry stomach came first. "Here is your food," the waitress entered with the manager of

Lawrence's POVThere was my brother's case and now Kenzie. “Why didn't you tell me about her? I could have prepared a more effective counter lash for her,” Stella sulked as we got into the car followed by some other two cars that had contained the guards from the top security company I was operating. Or at least, that was what it appeared to be on the surface, because in truth, that security company was a cover for my underground mafia business. I was only ten years in, so I couldn't compare despite my high success rate to my brother who had inherited the family's business. “Why don't we go home and rest for now?” I urged her as the ride continued, but she needed an outlet and she definitely wasn't having my words for it. So the moment we got home, she continued. “Now we are home and I can rest anytime. So I have so many questions.” She said and I was forced to sit opposite her. “Start with the one whose answer you want to hear the most. I might get tired along the lines of your

“Who was that?” I asked as he rejoined me. “Nobody you should worry about yet,” he said and settled down while trying to force a smile. “Yet? What do you mean by that?” I asked as I tried to sit up, but it hurt to much, so I remained in my lying position. “Uhn? What could you possibly want from me?” I contested aloud. “Nothing much, just that you tell me about the memory you recovered about Carl,” he said and I shook my head. I couldn't do it, “no.”“Why not?”“You'll hate me for it and I really can't afford for that to happen,” I said because I honestly thought so as I was currently hating on myself for what I had in the past with that ugly man. “Try me.” “It's no use. Let's just talk about the person who called you and why you looked so worried after the call,” I said but my attempt at diverting the question failed. “It’s nothing, but I can tell you about it, only if you do something for me,” he said and I could already tell where he was going. I did a mental calculation of

Lawrence's POVAfter the physiotherapy which was a huge pain in the ass because her attending doctor happened to be a fan, it was time to leave the hospital. "I'm so tired, let's go take some cool breeze on the balcony upstairs," Stella said. "You hate hospitals, I can take you to the park if you want some cool breeze, besides, the doctor said it was good for you health," I said, but she shook her head. "We can always try something new." this time, I didn't try to argue because her tone suggested that she was up to something and I was curious. "Aha, I knew it!" she said excitedly as we got to the Gynaecology section and I raised my head to see the reason for her excitement. "Let's follow them silently." "What do you mean Stella? didn't you ask me to come here because you wanted to collect some fresh breeze?" I teased. "Like you said, I hate hospitals. Let's just follow behind them without them noticing. I think my bestfriend is pregnant for that ugly bastard!" she said as she st
