The week seemed to pass by in a blur, it felt like my life was caught in a constant time loop. All I did was eat, sleep, tweet, and repeat, I wasn't doing anything productive. It was Friday today, Shayna’s birthday. I had wished her earlier in the day, I sent her a text message and also a voice note of me singing happy birthday to her. We were going to a newly opened club to celebrate her birthday, Club Uno. Which was fitting since her birthday fell on a Friday, and she rarely misses going to the club on Fridays. She sent a message informing me to come to her place before 8 p.m. so we could dress up and leave for the club from there. I’ve not been to a club since I quit working as a strip dancer so I was really excited that I was finally leaving the house to have a little fun and not for any boring event. I have missed the loud beat and the euphoria of the club and let’s not forget free drinks.I got a small bag and placed my shoes, bag, the outfit I’ll be wearing to the club, and a

After a long phone conversation with Shayna and May, I made my way up to sleep in my room. It was 12:30 a.m. when I woke up. William and Mathew had retired to bed at the time, so I made my way into the kitchen for a light dinner.I don’t even remember seeing Mathew all through the day. After having dinner, I brushed my teeth and changed into my nightwear before making my way up to William’s room. William was already asleep when I walked into his room. I shut the door behind me quietly and made my way to my side of the bed.I placed my phone face down on the bedside table going under the duvet to lie down on my back, I stared at the patterned ceiling with a mixture of boredom and annoyance because I was struggling with falling back asleep.Disadvantages of sleeping during the day.My phone starts vibrating on the table taking my attention away from the ceiling I was staring at. I reach out to the phone and pick it up, glancing at the caller ID, a smile graces my face.Shayna was callin

I guess no movie for me today then.I know it’s wrong of me to think that as I stared down at his body on the floor. Was it also insensitive of me to wish he’d fallen on the bed instead because I didn’t know how I was going to pick him up? I bent down, kneeling beside him to ensure he didn’t crack his skull first before trying to get him up which was very hard with all the muscles he had, he was like twice or thrice my weight. It was a struggle but I managed to lift him up carefully and pulled him to the bed. I placed him in a comfortable position on the bed and rested his head on a pillow. I sat back to try catching my breath as I panted heavily, lifting him off the floor was indeed a workout. I’ve never been to a gym but I might need to start going to one.Back to the matter at hand, I needed to get a doctor, Agathat should definitely know one.I ran out of my room, running down the stairs as fast as I could to get Agatha. I opened the kitchen and was met with an empty space.Shit!

6:30 amThe sun had not risen when I woke up, I woke up earlier than William or Matthew. I don’t remember the last time I had woken up this early, I knew Willam was going to be furious when he found out about it but I did not care. I guess I am abnormal because a normal person would not think of taking care of him with the way he has treated me since I met him. But everyone deserves a second chance and he had also cared for me when I was sick even if he claimed he was doing it for his dad. A spade is still a spade.I tip-toed out of his room to my room so he wouldn’t stir up due to my noise. I did all my necessities before heading to the place where he hung all the keys to his cars. I removed all of them and hid them under my bed before tip-toeing back to his room. I closed my eyes and said a silent prayer as I silently opened the drawer where he kept his work laptop. I carried it to my room and hid it under my bed.All the back and forth made me thirsty so I walked briskly into the k

I strolled to the floor above and pushed the door to the library open. The natural rays of the sun flowed through from the windows giving the library its usual ethereal and cozy feel. I picked up the book I had been reading for the past three days. It was getting difficult to complete the book due to all the ruckus of the past few days. Lowering myself to the soft cushioned seat, I folded my legs beneath me and turned the pages of the books to where I had left off, allowing myself to get absorbed in the plot of the novel. I delved into my world of imagination to forget the reality that came in place of William. An hour in, my phone buzzed lightly in my pocket, I sat up a bit to remove it before sliding accept on the screen.“Thank God you’re alive,” Shayna says from the other end dramatically.I chuckle lightly. "What the hell does that mean Shayna, we talked when? Yesterday?”“Yeah and I texted you three times after that, no reply, I thought maybe you were dead or something like that
